Random Lake PC Repair

September 2024. 5-***** Random Lake did what I needed, at a fair price. My PC laptop was running extremely slow, about 50 seconds to open a web page. I closed all programs, the scores of open windows and tabs, ran Disk Cleanup, CCleaner Pro, Bitdefender Optimize, and in Safe Mode re-ran those, plus Tweaking.com. I also ran the Lenovo Vantage "fix it" scans. I deleted about 20GB of "stuff" and nothing improved. I ran 4 virus and malware scans, including Bitdefender the #1 rated AV, Malwarebytes the #1 malware program, and several others -- they found nothing. I bought the computer at Costco 2+ years ago and tried the Conceirge service -- which was useless. Having had bad tech support twice from Not-so-good Buy, I Googled for computer repair Ozaukee County. I called Peter, who said there could be a virus, a bad upgrade version of a program since it was a recent slowdown, or who knows what, but that my system running at 75-95% RAM should be in the 30-40% range. I dropped off my computer, he had it 2 days, uninstalled some programs (with my permission) and reinstalled, ran scans, and did some adjustments. The good news is that whatever Peter did -- IT WORKED!!! The windows in either Firefox, Edge, or Chrome that took 50 seconds to open, now pop open in 1 second. As I write this, the computer is at 85% RAM useage, but everything works FAST. I will be taking my computer back to have Peter install 32GB of memory, and, I'm taking my friend's desktop that is running even slower than mine was. So, yes, I give Peter 5-***** for what he did, and the price was fair.

I highly recommend and give five stars to Peter and RLPC! I heard about Peter on the Nextdoor app, so when our 12-year-old computer started to act up, I thought of him. He spent over 30 minutes on the phone with me listening to how we use the computer and answered all my questions in ways I could understand. We decided to have Peter build our computer. He emailed me daily to let me know the progress. I figured he would save us over $600 if we were to buy this computer from a big box store. Peter Batha is very knowledgeable and friendly. I very much appreciated the fact that he didn’t make me feel stupid because I’m not tech savvy. He spoke to me on my level and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend Random Lake PC!!
