I was having difficulties with blue screen errors on my computer and brought it in to have them assist with wiping it and reinstalling Windows. They diagnosed the RAM sticks as the issue and removed them prior to installing Windows, but were unable to tell me which of the two removed were actually 'bad'. They also installed a number of additional software programs that I was not notified of ahead of time. I understand the purpose of the software and allowing Alpha Geeks to remote access my computer in case further follow-up was necessary, but I would rather it not have been installed on my computer, let alone without my permission. The software was password protected, so I ended up reinstalling windows again on my own in order to remove it. Overall it left a bad taste in the mouth. They also told me that there was an issue with the hard drive that limited the capacity of it, but were unable to correct it. It took me 30 minutes of research to fix it myself. For the total price of the service, I was disappointed in the lack of follow through.

This past Thursday I was unable to connect to the internet on my desktop computer. I called Alpha Geeks and spoke with Tom. He first tried to connect remotely. That didn’t work. I then brought my computer in. He checked it immediately and determined I needed a new hard drive. He installed a new hard drive with a 3 year warranty. Saved all my files and had it ready the next day. Back in service in less than 24 hours. Very impressed and strongly recommend

Went twice to have gaming computer fixed. Long story, but basically the final diagnosis was the motherboard was fried. I was told to get a new computer. I took it to a friend who is handy with computers. He was able to fix in minutes? The wires from the power button were on the wrong pins of the motherboard. Frustrating.

Tom was awesome. Very honest and professional. I took my computer elsewhere before going to Alpha Geeks and was just told “it’s dead, you need a new hard drive..” There was no explanation and gave me a quote that seemed ridiculous. Tom went on it while I was there and told me it was one of three things. Within a couple hours he gave me a call back with his diagnosis. I gave him the green light to repair it and he had it done 2 days later and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!
