The customer service representative was very helpful. The problem is that their fraud protection needs to be stepped up. I was scammed by an employee who said they were setting up a technician to come fix a dryer. They asked for the payment to schedule the visit( I should’ve known better) they never scheduled to visit, the money came out of my account, but apparently was never received by the geek squad or Best Buy. When I called to have this resolved, they said there’s nothing that they could do to refund the money because they never received the money. They have an employee sending customer payments to their own personal account and choose to do nothing about it.

Horrible customer service, didn't fix my problem, and overall just a bad service. I just built a PC and I've been having problems crashing while playing games, I troubleshooted and did everything to fix it I possibly could to no avail. After trying everything I could think of and what I could find on the internet, I turned to geek squad, assuming they had any sort of expertise I didn't have. I gave them an extensive detailed list of all the troubleshooting I had done and how they did and didn't work. They called me back the day after saying my computer had been fixed, explaining the fix had been something I'd ALREADY DONE multiple problems and I suggested maybe that hadn't been the fix, they smugly told me they've been working on computers for a long time and they know they fixed it. I asked them if they'd done sufficient crash testing following the parameters I gave that were the conditions of all my crashes. They said yes. Now I'm sitting here with a brick of a computer because it has NOT been fixed. I have done NOTHING to the settings since they gave it to me and the problem has not changed or improved in any way. They lied to me about the crash testing because if they'd recreated the conditions I gave them, they'd have crashed after 5 minutes, apparently they somehow crash tested for 30 minutes without any problems. TERRIBLE SERVICE. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COMPUTERS YOU ALREADY KNOW 10 TIMES MORE THAN THESE "EXPERTS"

So I went to get my laptop keyboard fixed, you think I’d be simple, nope. So when I took it in they said my laptop was in recall and they gave me a number to call. So I went all the way home, called, and turns out my laptop wasn’t on recall. So I then go back to geek squad again to send it in for a repair. They tell me that they can send it in, and that it should be done in 2 weeks. Sounds great right? The next day I got a call saying that they were not able to send it in for repairs. I then have to go to geek squad again to retrieve my laptop, and I asked if I could just get store credit for a different laptop. They wouldn’t even let me do that. So not only did they not help me fix my laptop, but they made go there 3 times and it was just such a waste. Never go here

The actual Geek Squad guys can fix anything so I bought total tech support. The last appointment made online did not pick up on my contract and charged me the full amount. Over two hours and four transfers later, I finally found someone who would refund 50% of what they should have. Then I got an email that announced my total tech support had been cancelled and to call a number if that was in error. I called, said it was an error to be told he could do nothing because it had been cancelled!!!! We went around and around and now they are going to "investigate" my many times repeated statement of "that was cancelled by someone else without my permission" I am so angry I could spit nails.

Brought Laptop in for battery replacement/repair after paying for Geek Squad Protection. Geek Squad shipped the laptop out and returned it to me after 3 weeks with no repair/replacement done. When I called to ask them to just send me a battery, they sent me a power adapter instead...Additionally the power adapter worked to charge the computer for 1 week before it stopped working. Called back again and they said I would have to ship it back again... This is a computer that I use everyday. Geek Squad protection has so far been useless and a waste of money. Service was awful. No remedy still.
