I have a pretty obscure laptop, and to make it more confusing the parts that the manufacturer has used to make it have changed since its release. But Miles did a bunch of research and figured out the best, most cost effective solution for the repair I needed, and cleaned out some parts related to my issue that I didn’t even ask about. A few weeks out from getting it back, and the machine is working great. Thanks a bunch, Miles :)

Happy to add to all the other 5 star reviews: So my wife spilt fruit juice on her laptop; went down into the keyboard and everything. It was functional but the keys were super sticky and corrosion was likely. In my amateur attempts to remove keys for cleaning, I broke a few. A couple other shops said they could not fix individual keys and would have to replace the whole keyboard - for about $175 part and $100 labor. Miles at CTRL+Shift 1) tried his best to fix the keys, though they were damaged beyond use 2) replaced the entire upper assembly for less cost (part & labor) than other shops quoted for a keyboard (though I suspect the whole assembly would have to be removed for a keyboard swap, anyway) 3) cleaned up the little corrosion underneath and 4) did not charge me for his initial key-fixing attempts since I proceeded with the actual repair. All in all service was professional, efficient and reasonably priced. Good stuff!

I cannot express enough how nice it is to find professionalism, courtesy and efficiency in local business, and CTRL+shift fulfills all of those qualities. I brought in my laptop with problems resulting from physical damage, and the nature of repairs needed was determined with certainty right away, and the laptop was quickly made whole once again. An excellent small business that offers services second to none, I gladly recommend CTRL+shift to everyone.
