My repair has taken a very long time. Yes, a part needed to be ordered, but to get on the phone and discuss options for this part took forever. They left me a specific extention number but they didn't answer over 80% of the time I tried to call over the last three weeks my PC has been in their possession. I left voicemails and they do not call back or indicate in any way that they received my calls. This fix better be worth it because it has taken much longer than expected and it is very frustrating to not be able to contact them. Please Best Buy, answer your phone!

I called the Geek Squad helpline to see if I needed an appt to bring my computer in. The support person helping me was nice and seemingly helpful, but she either didn't know how things worked in the store or she intentionally mislead me. After spending more than 30 minutes on the phone with her she told me I'd need to take my computer (desktop running windows 8, which she knew) into the store. She also told me I would not need an appointment. I loaded my computer in the car and made the 20 minute drive to Best Buy. Because I didn't have an appointment I had to wait. The wait wasn't bad, the bad came later. When I finally met with an employee, he didn't call himself a tech and his knowledge level showed he wasn't a tech; he told me they couldn't work on my computer hardware issue because my OS was windows 8. The computer was too old was his only response. Why didn't the support person on the phone tell me that? Why did she tell me to go to the store? Why does my OS version impact your ability to determine what is wrong with my hardware? Don't waste your time with Geek Squad! Find a local computer store that does repair work.

I would put zero stars if I could. I made an appointment on Sunday online to get my phones screen fixed I came in on Monday drove 20 minutes to the store was ask if my phone was under warranty I said no they told me they didn't have technician in. No call no notification nothing. So I was told by customer service I would receive a call.....nothing. so I called today made an appointment to get my phone fixed. I was told by the geek squad that because I didn't buy the warranty because I never purchased the phone from best buy they can't fix it. So again call customer service the ones who scheduled my appointment that that this is true after driving another 20 minutes so 1 hour and 20 minutes and wasted gas to find out my phone can not be fixed by them. So long story short unless you buy a protection plan from them they really couldn't care less about you as a customer or your problems.

The worst. I don't know why they get so bent out of shape when a customer doesn't make an appointment, but when they don't show up for your appointment it's okay. I live 50 miles away, my appointment was at 12:40 P.M. and an associate came to tell me and another lady that nobody will be there until 3:00 P.M. so essentially getting my laptop will have me driving 200 miles because I have to drive back home and then to and from on another day.

Went to the this geekSquad to get a cracked screen fixed on my computer. They told me it wasn't worth it and that I needed to buy a whole new computer. I went to the next PC store and they fixed it for $200. A new laptop would have been 500 plus tax at least
