10/10 would recommend this place to others! They fixed my computer that had a broken hinge and backplate in no time (less than a week) and it was almost $100 less than other places. I will say to y'all reading this and wondering if they're the place to go when you show up, it looks a bit odd when you first arrive, it's not a big corporate place, it's a small business with the best service and timing around though! A diamond in the ruff as some may say. Perfect for college students on a budget but looking to get things fixed well. Also, bring a bag of cat food or some toys and you'll get a discount 😁

My laptop broke just before final exams and they fixed it in time! I don't usually write reviews but this is one of the best companies I have ever gone to. Their pricing is fair and they have amazing service. They offer a service warranty if anything goes wrong after the repair, and they fixed a problem with my laptop under this warranty (see the picture) that had nothing to do with the original fix. They were also very flexible with hours and responded promptly if they weren't available at that moment. Thanks again Burns!

I thought I was making a good informed choice by choosing Independent Output to work on my hard drive. However, I learned a few things about this company that were frustrating to say the least. Product intake was quick and easy. They did explain things the best they could. They also stated that best communication would be texting, fine…. They texted soon after to give me an initial diagnosis and said they would have to do some checking and get back to me as soon as they can. A month later and only after I contacted them did they tell me that it would have to be sent to another company which I was fine with. I asked for pricing info. To make a long story short, I was told that my texting was judged to be aggressive and they could no longer work with me. I was not aggressive, I was not angry, I was not swearing or anything rude. Yet I was judged by my texts when that was their preferred form of communication. They took out body language and intonation of my voice from the conversation and placed judgement. They also accused me of making accusations against them. Which I never accused them of anything. In fact I asked them point blank what I accused them of and got no response. But it apparently is ok for them to make accusations of their customers. Poor customer service here, and terrible interpersonal skills. If you can get past that, and can avoid being arbitrarily judged, this is the place for you. Thankfully, they did let me get my devices and I will gladly take them elsewhere. My response to theirs - Your response is a great example of why texting should not be the preferred form of communication. My question about the $1000 was not what you indicated in your response. You told me that it would be a minimum of $1000. My response was that I could not in good conscience allow a company I did not know, rack up a bill as high as they wanted to go. I asked you if there was anyway to get an idea of what the high end may be. I assured you that I had the money to pay for the recovery, but you had already placed your judgments. The reasons you gave for deciding not to work with me are all excuses. My texts were not accusatory as you still have not been able to tell me what I accused you of. To say someone sounded accusatory is another excuse. It is justifying how you treated the person. Yes I knew you were sending it to a third party. I didn’t have a problem with that. I didn’t have a problem with the shipping. I was merely asking for what a high end amount would be for the recovery and it sounds like you took that as accusatory and judged me. I still stand by my review. I do not feel like I treated you wrong. I did not judge you. I did not accuse you. I did not use profanity or anything else that is typically believed to be rude. Obviously, you feel justified in your actions and you are welcome to that. You are welcome to judge your clients for whatever reason you want. That is your problem though. But I do not agree with you judging clients as a result of limited communication and treating them the way you did. Others might agree with me, that is their choice. They may disagree, and that is fine. That is the point of giving reviews.

They have been extremely helpful and nothing short of lovely helping me repair my custom pc. Super responsive, kind, and knowledgeable. I’ll be coming to them with any future repairs!

Seems to be generally knowledgeable about computers and nice…but this interaction just seems to be a lack of respect for my time. Took almost 3 months to fix 3 Xbox controllers. Told me it would take a week and upped the price on me 10 dollars. Granted he did offer me a discount to fix 7 (only 3 were fixed and the others are just broken apparently.) Also very unresponsive when asking about progress on controllers and when I can pick them up. Last thing is he didn’t charge me for a diagnosis on my pc…but also didn’t tell me what was wrong with it either. I’m taking my business elsewhere, hopefully you have a better experience than I.
