Called to have them send out a technician to hook up a work computer for me. I was told it would be $150. I don't mind paying that but if he's not able hook this computer up, then I should only have to pay for a service call not the same amount as if he had completed the job. and they wanted the money up front before they would send him out.

I love Best Buy and especially love the service I received at Geek Squad. They are courteous and follow through. I dropped off my laptop just a couple of weeks ago and they informed me it may take four weeks or more because of the backlog and were forthright about potential costs. I just received a call that my laptop is ready and the charges were waived. Love the honesty and also their effort is minimizing costs. Love you Geek Squad! Thanks Best Buy for having them in-store.

I had a new radio and speakers installed, the staff was very helpful and had plenty of patience with all of my questions. The only issue is the company itself because they are the ones who answer your calls. What happened to being able to get a hold of someone at the special Best Buy location. However I will continue to purchase items only because of the very helpful and knowledgeable staff!!!😎

I wish I could give zero stars. The geek squad rep I spoke to by phone was more helpful than the reps at the location. At the appointment I advised of the case number and the issue that he advised me to communicate. I wrote it all down so I could just hand it to them. She ran an HP scan and said everything seemed fine. Really????? Then she says the price is 165.00 to leave it with them for the day, or 265.00 for a membership. If I pay a one time fee of 165.00 and they don't find anything, then I would have to pay that again to get them to check it again. So I asked, what am I paying for you to fix?? She didn't know. She just said I'm not sure, it could be anything. So I said no. Came home, called Microsoft technician. Fixed. No 165.00, no 265.00. Its a new computer, less than a year old, hardly used. I told him what Geek squad rep said, the Microsoft tech advised me exactly what to do. And done. My lesson today, go to the source. Thanks Microsoft.
