I went to the geek squad to get a laptop checkup, and the associate provided good information that I needed. I was directed to the computer section of the store where I met a salesman who really educated me, and broke down the proper device specifications, and upgrades to meet my needs. It was a nice experience, and I left more informed.

These guys always help me out. I buy everything I can from Best Buy for the warranty. Have had several items repaired for free or for deductible. The best warranty service of anyone out there big box or mart..

Service rep was great. But corporate processes are horrible. First - they failed to order a part that any technician would have known was the issue, necessitating a second appointment. Second - the first appointment available was almost 2 weeks after the first call, and after ordering the necessary part, it was another 2 weeks. If I'd been without a major appliance for that long, it would beg the question whether the warranty was even worth what I paid. The only reason that I'm having Geek Squad service my appliances is because I already bought the extended warranties. Next time will either not buy from Best Buy to begin with or will get service warranty from a different company. (And with this level of disservice, I'm frankly shocked that Best Buy remains in business.)

Signing up for the Total Tech Experience? These Geeks are not what they used to be. Don't expect a time saving experience. Long wait times on their phone lines. They probably have good people, somewhere, but don't expect experts to answer the phone or visit your home. The operators/agents don't understand the different products, and often send the wrong trainee to try and help. If you use this service, you need a lot of time and patience. All very cordial, but ... Just not the same Geeks they used to be. :-( Not saying they can't solve problems on the second or third call to visit, but ... remember this service is billed on a per call basis.

Prison would be a nicer experience. Ordered them to help with a few minor issues. Took at least 45 minutes for them to understand the issue. Solutions were idiotic. Every step required me to wait an hour, they regularly just hang up rather than dealing with the issue. The solutions are childish. Anything difficult is beyond them Took 3 calls and an hour to get a refund.
