Orders Computer Repair

Peyton has worked on 3 of my computers over the past few months and I am well pleased with the service and skill. A few months ago I was ready to “toss” a computer for a number of issues. I had taken it to a local shop and they pronounced it dead and offered to sell me a new one. Someone recommended Peyton so I gave him a call. He picked up the computer and returned it a few days later. It had a new version of Windows, more memory and a new lease on life. And the charges were extremely inexpensive. Then last week my laptop failed and I really depend on it daily. Again I called Peyton and he picked it up Friday and returned it on Sunday as he knew how important it was to me. The hard drive had failed (as I suspected) so he replaced it with a new solid-state drive and replaced another small internal part. Perfect again!! Beware. I took my HP laptop to Peyton to repair a few keys that were not working and he sold me on a solid state something or other that he said would make my computer much faster for $50. He advised that to fix a couple of keys (a and @), he would have to replace the keyboard. $200 later I have a laptop that is useless. Yes the new keyboard works but the laptop works like a snail when it works but the majority of the time it will not work. I took the PC back to him and he said he found the problem. When I picked it up I asked him what was wrong with it. He said he restarted it and the problem went away. Needless to say I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling that my PC was going to work. When I got home no different. Still does not work. I spoke to him and advised him to fix it back like it was before he tampered with it. Remember the computer worked fine before he worked on it, except the key problem. His reply was all sales are final read your invoice which I do not have. Something is very peculiar about this business. Everything is very secretive. Does not answer calls, text only, comes to your vehicle in driveway and requests you text when in drive. No paperwork invoice etc. Note, I should have known better. He worked on my desktop computer previously and commented that it was old and the hard drive was on its last leg. Guess what......a month or two later I had to trash it and buy a new computer. I wanted to give this young man a chance, but that was a mistake. Stay clear of this kid and take your computer to a reputable computer repair shop.

Beware, I question the integrity of this young man. I stayed at Peyton’s Airbnb in his mother’s house, where he also lives, and he became passive aggressive in several ways. He became angry over a noise issue. He decided it was OK to do his laundry during sleeping hours and woke me up twice. The next day, someone trashed our shared bathroom which his friends also used. The same day he suddenly left town. He hung up on me and ignores e-mails asking him about an important package he promised to forward. He wrote an Airbnb review falsely accusing me of clogging a shared septic toilet after two heavy rains in December 2022. His mother’s house is on a steep hillside with many visitors, and this is most likely the source of their plumbing woes. Beware.

I called Peyton after spilling liquid on my laptop on a Sunday afternoon. He answered promptly and professionally. He guided me through the process of drying it out. I will definitely call him with any computer issues.
