'Inside job' scams are perpetrated through this service. Called for in-person tech support on desktop computer, and when they scheduled the appointment, they asked scripted questions about the nature of the problem. Four hours later, got a call referencing the appointment, using same scripted questions but saying they were a senior tech, then saying they may be able to resolve online. Required taking control of my computer via download, requested additional paid download, and did not resolve problem. Called to complain, and both Best Buy and Geek Squad passed the buck and said I was scammed. When I asked to speak to security/privacy division at Geek Squad, they said they didn't have one--Seriously? You are sending randoms into people's homes and onto their computers but don't have a security division? Had to report incident to the feds. Insiders at Best Buy who know your appointment details are flagging you for follow-up scams, and the company will not accept responsibility or refund for services not rendered. DO NOT TRUST THEM FOR I.T. JOBS.

What a joke! On line with geek squad all morning and they couldn't figure out the issue and asked me bring the computer in at my convenience. Show up I'm told I have to have an appointment. When I told them I just wanted to drop it off because I was headed out of town they said that didn't matter I had to have an appointment just to drop it off, What a crock! 100% will not be renewing my contract with Best Buy.

Despite being short-staffed and without a prior appointment, our USC student was helped by Chris. He tested her laptop, tried several different things. On the phone, he answered our questions, explained his findings, and made recommendations. Chris was very patient and kind in what could have been a very stressful situation.

The worst experience ever !! I believe his name Johnny (has a accent ) was the rudest person ever! No customer service at all !! First (he is a joke ) tells us we don’t have a warranty but he wasn’t on the right account and didn’t man up to say he was wrong ! Then he walks always and for ten Minutes watch him help another customer until I ask him so are you going to tell us something ! This joke of a man proceeded to say he waiting on the printer !! Unprofessional and lack of customer service ! He brings 2 piece of paper out and just say sign and continue to talk to another customer. He doesn’t explain anything! This person doesn’t need to represent Best Buy Geek Squad !

I brought my laptop in for keyboard repair and they wouldn't accept it without an appointment. My fault, so I made the appointment to drop it off for repair. Went to the appointment to drop it off and was told that they were unfamiliar with repairing the keyboard but for 84 dollars they would send it to someone who could (not including the cost of repair). A week wasted and zero value provided.
