I do not recommend going to geek squad. They tried to rip me off saying I had to pay to get a new battery after I already had insurance and was told my battery replacement was free.

Five stars for Jake - who repaired my TV this past Saturday - quickly and at no cost. This type of Geek Squad service is worth the price. My only complaint is that calling the 888 number delayed my service by several weeks. If anyone needs this service - call the store where you made the purchase not the toll free number!! Both Jake and Matt made it happen - once I was directed to contact them. Thanks!!!

I am pretty technically savvy, but every now and then I encounter something that is beyond my grasp. I use a powerful desktop computer (gaming computer that runs 3 monitors and has 18TB of internal drive space) and twice in the past two years I have had a desperate need for prompt and good service. On both occasions, I was able to get my computer into the Geek Squad hands promptly and the unit was serviced and back in my hands from them very quickly and within 48 hours. In each situation, I had a deep concern that some substantial alternations may be necessary to restore proper computer operation and perhaps the OS may need to be reinstalled and that I may suffer a loss of many of my files. But in both cases, the Geek Squad was able to manage the repair with minimal change and inconvenience to me. I recommend the Geek Squad in State College highly!

Called in to inquire about cleaning up a computer. They answered all my questions and told me turn around time would be 2-3 days after I drop it off. Everything sounded good so I headed over to drop it off. The customer service lady was very nice but said I could not drop it off without filling out the paperwork, and that I had to wait an hour and a half to fill out the paperwork. Walked out, took it down to PCQuickFix, said it would be done tomorrow. Sorry geek squad but terrible experience. Dont have time to sit around for an hour and a half just to drop off a computer.

Geek squad is filled with knowledge people. The prices aren't cheap but you get what you pay for. Labor is expensive, weather it be a doctor, a mechanic, a lawyer. You pay for peoples time that have the knowledge to help you. It's worth every penny
