I reached out to COMPRECOVERY when it became clear that my external hard drive was corrupted beyond my capabilities to recover. I received a response in short order and took my drive straight in for evaluation. Sory met up with me and we talked through the error message I was receiving and what I had tried in the effort to access the drive. He explained the process he would follow and talked through the base price and expectations of success. I had my data back a week later. If, like me, this is your first time utilizing a data recovery service, you may be for some sticker shock. Cost is obviously dependant on the level of work required to recover your data. My drive had to be opened up and the read/write head had to be physically replaced with a duplicate from a donor drive. That's a serious fix, and Sory was transparent throughout the process, and I understood what I was paying for. Ultimately, I was relieved to have my files back in hand. Do I hope that I never need data recovery again? You bet. However, if I do, I'll be back to COMPRECOVERY.
