Horrible, He had to Google search if a Dell Inspiron 16” 7640 can be upgraded to a 2TB ssd. He didn’t even know. He also didn’t know if a upgrade would ruin a warranty. He said “Well that’s a gray area.” How embarrassing. Wasted $179 for them to be confused and not know direct questions.

I had such a positive experience at the Jantzen Beach Geek squad. Fixed my cracked iPhone screen in a couple of hours and the employees were so helpful and kind. Great customer service like that is hard to come by these days! I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a malware on my PC. The non geek staff could not identify software that would remove malware. Three of them consulted with each other then sent me to the geek squad. I want to the geek squad and the quoted me an Over priced computer geek squad for removal of the malware. I took my business elsewhere. I took my business elsewhere.

UPDATE: So they did offer help & a form of reimbursement for the damages. They did more diagnostics to find that there could be an issue that is no bodies vault that is responsible for the issues. It was just possibly missed first time I dropped off. So I will amend my review. Still been a hassle but at least they owned up to the mistake & tried to do all they could to take care of me. Issue is unresolved right now but they offered to help in any way to make it right. Still a hassle & some loss of work for me. But cest la vie Paid them to install a power button. They broke ALL the led lights on my computer case but said they did the repair so they partially refunded me. But I got home & button still didn't work. Updates were pending & the original issue I am still having.... So I paid $100 for Geek Squad to break my PC & not do any actual repair. How did they not test the repair? Why did they say it was done when it doesn't work?? Then they didn't bother offering to fix the LED lights they broke......AWFUL experience. Never again. They sounded professional when I dropped it off but I am very disappointed in their terrible service. I'm gonna reach out to them but unless they refund me $ & fix my PC case I'm keeping this at a 1 star.

Went to Best Buy Jantez Beach location have Total Tech Plan $199.99 for maintenance on electronics, was told it could service my 3 older laptops that needed updates & possible virus removal needed- That's waste of money! Save your money don't buy it. They do very little to anything when you bring in older laptops. Have had my laptops in there several times. Gave them detailed information about what was happening how each laptop was having some kind of issue and asked if possible if one of them be updated to Windows 10. And that they needed updates but were getting stuck due to issues with either being too outdated in the updates or possible virus. Geek Squad heard- 'put Windows 10 on laptop ', despite the workorder having details saying to reset device and wipe hard drive as well. Out of 3 laptops going in. Only 1 came out with the requests completed. The other 2 I was told are 'too old' you should buy new computers. That's was my 1st time. 2nd time returned to get one laptops data wiped from hard drive and asked to get Windows 10. Again was told "it's too old and we can't " BUT you can Buy Windows 10 and we can install Windows 10 . 3rd time in store - went for Iphone Battery Replacement- was told they have no open appointments for 2 weeks. Had to schedule in Gresham Best Buy, they couldn't verify the battery being in stock. Got text saying to back up data on cell phone and be prepared to give our Iphone login and passcode at appointment. When Geek Squad site says they shouldn't ask for that information. BUT doesn't let you tell them what device you have or WHAT PART YOU NEED. Waited 4 days for appointment. Traveled 40 minutes to Best Buy Gresham appointment as that was soonest available appointment. Got there Geek Squad Tech tells us they don't have the Battery for our Iphone and he has to order it. Will take 2 weeks to receive the part and they HAVE TO KEEP MY PHONE BECAUSE APPLE REQUIRES THEM TOO. I tell him it's not Apple Care Claim I'm paying for the Battery replacement. He says he still has to keep my Iphone for 2 weeks. We left, made appointment at Apple Store for the following day. Talk to Apple Store Technician he advertised NO Apple wouldn't require Best Buy to hold Iphone if it's NOT Apple Care Claim. Very disappointed by the overall service or lack thereof at Best Buy Geek Squad.
