The staff took good care of me when I walked in for help. Ended up being there for an hour and a half, and were patient with me the entire time. They were able to recover over 1000 files that disappeared from my computer, years of work and important documents saved. Thank you geek squad!! Give the gentleman with 2 kiddos a raise! (so sorry, I forgot his name But he was the best)

i bought a washer and dryer through best buy and my washer ended up going from a power surge in the electric. nonetheless, it’s covered under the warranty i bought for it. we had a guy come out who said the part needed ordered and we’d be on priority to get it installed when it came in. well 2 weeks later we’re still getting pushback for someone to come out to install it. i have four children, who happen to be all boys so we do A LOT of laundry around here. i’ve spent almost $110 now at the laundromat because i still don’t have a working washing machine. these people are a huge JOKE.

We hired and payed for geek squads associates to come out and install a wall mount for out television. They arrived and refused to install the mount we had purchased previous. After being unsuccessful in selling their merchandise to us we were told that they would return the following day to install the tv but we had to go and purchase a new wall mount from Best Buy by the next day. They wouldn’t give a time frame and didn’t even put in an official change in the service. We decided not to go this rout and get a refund for the services they didn’t perform. We were told we had to contact the store we contacted originally. We did so that day and a gentleman named Brett said he would make sure we got our refund and call us in 24 hrs to confirm. If not we would see it in a week. We waited for a week and neither saw the refund or heard back from Brett. I spent over an hour on the phone with customer service who said that the technicians marked the job as completed.... so they took the money and said well it’s their problem now. Now we are being assured we will see the refund in another 3-5 business days. We shall see.....What a hassle and how extremely frustrating to have to jump through hoops because of their employees deliberate misconduct. In the end I had to speak with 5 different employees at three different levels to get my money returned to me. So disappointed as these are one of a few companies that perform these services.

Just wasted one-half hour trying to contact the Geek Squad desk at Avon, Ohio store. Best Buy phone system will not allow direct contact with store at all. All calls are routed to "national" customer service, which has 24 minute wait. This is a joke. Best Buy just lost a $2000 plus day from me.

The tech was very nice, but I opted to replace my laptop screen on my own. Unbeknownst to me, I found out they don't actually do the repairs themselves. For a fee of $85 they send your equipment somewhere else. Then you have the replacement parts cost and labour. It was going to cost $300-$400 to fix something that buy doing it myself cost $65 and 15 minutes of my time. Guess that's what I get for trying to be lazy.
