I had 2 HDMI ports installed on a AV Receiver, I provided factory ports. Job was done in a reasonable time, when I went to use the receiver it would not power on. I tried troubleshooting, ended up calling- I asked tech if he had tested after installing- he said he didint test- that he just installed the ports i provided. I took back for them to check- got a call saying they couldnt get it to power either, and the work they did was right. I paid $160 dollars for the work and ended up with a receiver that wouldnt power on. I asked wasnt there any compensation- tech said '' I just put in ports you gave me and thats all I can do'' no apologies, no explanation. An attitde like ''who cares i got paid and you are nothing.'' I would suggest NOT using this company- based on my loss.

After spending $300.00 to have my Apple Watch screen replace. I was advised, not to get the watch wet. When I asked why? The tech stated he’s not Apple, & the seal wouldn’t be the same. If I would’ve known about that, from the beginning, I would’ve just took the lost on the watch and purchased another one. I ended up purchasing another watch a few weeks after getting my watch back. For the fact being, of me Turing to grab an item in my tractor. Which resulted in me hitting the cloth seat in my tractor. When I looked at my watch, the brand new glued screen popped up. Money wasted due to a disingenuous tech. I highly recommend, not having your watch screen replaced, & installed at this location. Nevertheless, the choice is yours. ✌🏾

Just moved to NC from VA and while setting up my office PC, realized there was no power. Replaced the power supply with no change. Googled computer repair near me and landed on Sunset Computer Techs on Friday afternoon less an hour before they closed. Called and spoke with Melvin to confirm they worked on PC’s and explained the issue I was having. He actually walked me thru several fixes on the phone to resolve the issue without having to bring the computer in to the shop. Those didn’t resolve the issue and he offered to diagnose the problem at no cost and repair if approved. I drove to the shop and left the computer not expecting to hear anything until the first of the following week- by the time I drove back home, I recd an text from Melvin saying unfortunately the motherboard was bad and needed replacement. He provided a quote for parts and labor that I thought was very reasonable and I approved the repair. He ordered the part before the close of business on Friday and said it would take 4-5 business days for delivery. Even though there was a holiday (July 4th) in the following week, the parts came in and the PC was picked up today, just over a week later. I am planning to have him upgrade the OS on the PC for a very reasonable price as well. I really think he went above and beyond to manage my expectations and provided exceptional customer service thru the entire process. I would highly recommend Sunset Computer Techs and will absolutely use them for my future needs.
