I was a repeat customer and willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but that was a mistake. I paid for my home button to be replaced because it was cracked. They replaced it and the button worked fine until one day when assistive touch came on and off without me changing settings. I returned and paid for a new button because they informed me that I needed a new one to resolve this issue. Didn’t really make sense to me, but I’m not the expert. They told me to wait an hour for the repair. When I returned an hour later they told me they didn’t have the part they needed and my options were to use a button that didn’t match or drive to their other location. Oh joy. I drove there and had it replaced, but the initial issue persisted a couple of weeks later. I went in again and they told me that it may be an internal issue with the phone, which seems to be a popular excuse given the other reviews. I asked for some type of compensation since their non-functional “fix” took my money and my time but offered no improvement. They offered me a discount on my next service as though I’d be tempted to be fooled a third time.

They were the only place that could replace a battery for my much-older Mac, and they were even willing to work with me on the price, which was nice. I also needed the speakers replace. They did initially try to charge me full price for the speakers replacement, and I reasoned that that didn't feel fair, since I knew that replacing the battery meant they were right there where the speakers already were. I knew how much speakers cost, and it didn't feel bad to basically charge me as if they were taking apart the entire laptop twice when I knew they were only taking it apart once. They did eventually agree and pretty much only charged me for the part since they were going to be right there (and in fact have to move the speakers in order to reach the battery.) However, this good will was burned up pretty quickly. I was told the battery could be replaced same-day and that it would only take a few hours. This location and particular day and time was really convenient because I had to be at my office in Brier Creek that day, and was thrilled at the prospect of not having to make an extra trip, getting my computer back on lunch, etc. I dropped it off around 9am and was told it should be done around lunch time and that they'd call me. I still hadn't heard back by about 2pm so I called and they said it wasn't ready yet. Then I called again and they said they had ordered the wrong battery and it wouldn't be ready until the next day. It annoyed me that they ordered the wrong part and that I had to call them (instead of them calling me) to give me this update. I waited until the next day, and they still didn't call me - once again, I had to be the one to reach out for an update, at which point they told me that they also didn't have the right speaker. They said they had completed the battery, and I could pick up the laptop and then come back several days later when the speaker was in stock. At that point I said forget it - I came and picked the laptop up. No apologies for the inconvenience of multiple trips and having to call them for an update instead of them updating me. And once I got home, the new battery was STILL bad, dropping percentage fairly precipitously as it had before it was serviced. They blamed it on "maybe we ordered a defective one" or something and offered to try replacing it again. At this point I actually wound up buying an entirely new laptop and just using this one as a backup. This added a whole other layer because it was time-sensitive; I needed it in short order and if I'd known from the beginning that this would be such a time-consuming endeavor, I'd have had time to work something else out and at least delayed having to buy a new laptop (AND have it rush-delivered.) Your mileage may very and you may have a decent experience with them, but I would be cautious. At the very least, expect to have to be the one to call and find out the status of your repair, because they won't call to let you know.

I brought my phone in just for a new screen, after getting a new one it still wasn’t working. I went back three times it still wasn’t fixed. The service was poor and they said it was an internal issue with the phone. I took my phone to Raleigh Phone Repair on Angus dr. and they fixed it in 5 min with great service for half the price.

Sonic did a great job replacing the back cover of my phone. They ordered the part for me and let me know when it arrived the next day. They were very flexible for me to bring the phone in for the repair and it was fixed in less than 30 min. Fidel did excellent repair work and Jason is a pleasure to do business with. I will definitely come back for other electronic repair needs.
