We are not from India, but my family was invited to a traditional party with coworkers and the owner here assisted us in buying some great clothes for a great price. We had so much fun at the party and everyone really appreciated our attempt to be a part of the celebration.

We were invited to celebrate Diwali with my sister’s best friend and her Indian family. I did a little research but wasn’t exactly sure how to dress. I’m so glad we found this store as the selections and quality of the fabric was really nice and much better than another nearby store. The owner was so helpful and she found outfits that complemented each other. We had such a wonderful holiday and it brought a lot of joy to me and my family. Thanks for helping to make 2020 special!

I love the owner! She gives great customer service and really tries to help. Roopkala is the only store my mom and I will go to! We're Indian, so we know alot about the quality and prices of lengha's, salwaar kameez etc. And roopkala has great prices and beautiful garments. Any wedding or event I go to, I always come here to find an outfit. There is always a sale going on, so you can get something beautiful for such a good price. They offer all types of Indian and Pakistani outfits for both men and women, you can get your jewelry, Bangles, mendhi, shoes etc all in one place. The biggest reason this place does so well, is because of the owner. She is never rude or pushy, always offers assistance and answers any questions you have. I never feel rushed or forced to purchase something I don't want to and that is very hard to find in Indian clothing shops. Overall, I highly suggest you go here! My family has shipped here for yearsss and I will never go anywhere else.

Poor customer service & communication! I contacted this business in April 2016 to ask whether they can stitch a blouse for my wife. They said yes for $35. I specifically asked the woman (I made a separate phone call just to ask this) whether they can stitch the blouse from scratch - she said that they can provided we give them the measurements. Accordingly, I had my parents bring the material from India. I contacted this business again in May 2016 to begin the stitching. All of a sudden the woman started making excuses about how they cannot stitch a blouse from scratch and they need a perfect fitting sample blouse AND measurements to stitch a new blouse! She also began saying how busy they are, and they need more than 2 weeks just to stitch a blouse. I will stay away from this business in future. I contacted another Indian clothing business in the area, and they have agreed to take the measurements themselves, provide lining, and stitch the blouse for us within 7-10 days.

I wanted to share my wonderful experience at Roopokala Sari in Raleigh NC. I went in looking for a specific type of wedding dress. Gita listened to my ideas and was able to find a dress that was more beautiful, than the picture of the one I took in the store. Gita has been very helpful, she took her time with me and did not rush me. I ended up purchasing accessories for my wedding, and Gita was very instrumental in helping me pick those out. I was duly excited when my soon to be husband also purchased his outfit there. They have an extensive amount of ALL types of Indian clothing, fine fabrics, shoes and accessories. The outfits were made of the finest material and the workmanship was flawless. Due to the type material of my dress, I had to have a special seamstress to take it in. Gita had the knowledge of the perfect seamstress and facilitated the whole transaction. The seamstress did an impeccable and professional job. I have told all my friends, family and associates about them. Planning a wedding is stressful enough and she really assisted with taking a lot of stress off me. If you are looking for any fine fabrics, wedding clothing, children clothing, please stop by and visit. You will find a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
