I have been here 3 times in the past year, and they have been absolutely no help every time. The first time was to fix my laptop, which the incorrectly diagnosed was a broken battery, so I ordered the battery they told me to buy. When the battery finally arrived, I came in to get it replaced, and they told me it was the wrong battery (which they would have realized in the first place if they looked at the model number on the bottom of my laptop). They told me to buy another battery, and this time I had the foresight to double check, and they were wrong again. The third time was when I went in with a friend to get his laptop diagnosed. They checked off his laptop as "Diagnosed & Fixed" and charged him, but literally all they did was clean the dust from his fans which was something we were going to do at home. They did not diagnose or fix anything, and we had to do it all ourselves with our own money. After this, I am never going to another Geek Squad again. Do not waste your money here. Edit: I also neglected to mention that the battery was NOT the issue in the first place. All they did was see that it wasn't turning on, and just lazily assumed that it was a battery issue without bothering to check anything at all. I fixed it myself. All I had to do was reset the bios, an easy 1 minute fix that they didn't bother checking.

Scheduled an appointment for 3:00 PM didn’t get attended to 3:30 PM just to tell me they don’t repair the issue at hand just replace the entire console except; I didn’t buy it from them so I’m back at step one. I wish the website specified that they don’t service things that aren’t bought directly through Best Buy before I wasted time sitting for an appointment that didn’t matter.

Very disappointed I purchased a brand new computer. The computers, for some reason needed to be reset to factory setting, and they refuse to do it for me they want me to pay the membership. When I made the appointment, they said, you have 20 minutes to see what they can do. But they literally use those 20 minutes just to try to sell me a membership

The Geek Squad service is worth it as it is sometimes worth it to be able to bring the device somewhere, if it can't be fixed remotely. Also, it is cost effective, reasonable priced! ALL my experiences with Geek Squad have been pleasant!!

Unfortunately their Geek Squad website is misleading when it comes down to TV repairs... it states they can repair any TV under 42”. What it doesn’t detail is the type of repair they are willing to do. I made an appointment and brought my TV to the Geek squad only to be told they won’t send it out for repair. When I mentioned what the website stated they told me that’s only if there was a software issue... there was no mention on the website nor when making the appointment that there were conditions to the repair.
