WORST! We dropped off our son's phone 10 days ago for repair at Long Island City location in NY. We were told 3-5 days. We got no notifications until we started calling. Then we got 3 different answers and realized they probably lost the phone, so we drove to the location where we dropped it off. We get there, we get another reply and turns out they forgot about our phone and only shipped it a week late and they have NO IDEA what the status is or if it arrived. The manager looks at us with blank eyes, not offering to ship it to us when it's ready, not apologizing, not offering anything for the trouble they caused and for the fact that our 15YO travels around NYC without any ability to communicate. We will NEVER EVER EVER return to geek squad and we are cancelling our membership with them.

Honestly, I am delighted! These guys are super organized, they know what they are doing, and they will help you with any kind of issue with your device. My strong recommendation! Their job is not easy at all, since they have to deal with a great number of reclamations, cranky people, different characters, and absorb our negativity that we bring during our visits. Basically, they mitigate our stress. They accept both devices bought in Best Buy and those bought somewhere else. With annual membership (around $180) they will fix any kind of problem you are faced with. I think that is the best option, rather than paying a one time amount. And that is how much I paid for crashed OS on my laptop and reinstallation of the same one. In that way I am covered for another year if something else occurs. That's a great bargain, you have to admit. On top of that, they saved all of my data from the laptop, which is amazing! Windows 11, Adobe, MS Office Package...they reinstalled everything. Way to go, guys! Paperwork is also super fast, basically they just need your phone number and email. Just make sure you make an appoitment in advance by the phone. Waiting time did not exist when I was there: on Saturday afternoon I was there by myself (Northern Blvd in Queens). In and out in less than 30 minutes. And, believe it or not, they called me on Sunday evening to pick it up. My problem with the laptop was solved in 24h, truly amazing!!! Thumb up for Jamie from Geek Squad team who was super kind to me, who is a good listener, and problem solver. They are open until 8pm, but please double check business hours of Best Buy store in your area. Restrooms for customers are on premises. Plenty of parking lots in front of the building. The best way to reach Best Buy at Northern Blvd is with a car, or by using bus Q104, Q101, or R train.

Best Service Ever! Instead if being cheap and going thru local cheap shops or friends I decided to finally give Geek Squad a try... Best Choice Ever. Very Simple, I went in and told them I own a business and the nature of my business which includes leaving multiple background apps on and inputting a lot of information on a day to day basis. They saw the computer 🖥 I brought in and what I used before they gave me any further info. They called me the very next day and told me exactly what they recommend from experience & **BOOOOM** IT WORKED!!!! TY GEEK SQUAD 🤓 🙌💪🙏.

If I could give no stars I would. Apparently if your driver can’t find parking they won’t install. They won’t park in a garage or double park. Took a day off of work to wait for installation and they would not install - this is NyC! You would think they would have this issue planned out and a customer would not need to worry about it. On top of it I cannot get in touch with a supervisor at the Long Island city brand where I purchased. I have never heard of such incompetence
