I brought them my laptop which had a water damaged keyboard. They were unable to fix it which is unfortunate but still wanted me to pay the remainder of my balance of $90 after already paying them 200 or so. They DID give me the heads up beforehand that if they couldn’t fix it I’d still have to pay and that is why I’m giving them an extra star. On the other hand after inspecting the computer it was cracked and broken(see photo)from the repairs they had done. Those damages were not there when I brought it in so as far as I can tell this might be the reason it’s unfixable. So at least don’t try to charge me the extra money after damaging my computer further! Is that too much to ask? I didn’t even ask for a refund on my initial payment. I floated the idea of letting them keep the new part they had ordered, to fix someone else’s MacBook down the road, so I could get some of my money back but they said they wouldn’t because the part is specific to my computer. It’s a standard MacBook that’s only like 2 years old. Gotta be one of the most common repairs they do. Anyway I’m not a computer expert but that’s my story from The Computer Guy” in Goshen.

I brought my MacBook Pro to The Computer Guy on 7/25/24. It needed a new battery and the ports were not working; a few days later I received a call that the logic board had to be replaced because the ports were hardwired to it. They failed to mention that my hard drive is embedded in the logic board. Two months and several trips later, I was handed back an empty computer. Against standard practice, they did not return the removed logic board with HARD DRIVE to me; they threw it away with decades of files including about 20,000 images and lots of software that must be purchased again which presents a huge future security problem because I do not know if they even swiped the drive. The computer is now unrepairable and I'll have to buy a new one along with lots of software. They lied about what they were doing. They were technically incompetent (cut an intact cable when working on my computer). I took the MacBook to an Apple Store and was told I should go to the police. The Computer Guy essentially stole my computer. This company should not be allowed to continue in business.

I paid a few hundred dollars to get my computer fixed every time I shut it and to restart it it would go black I took it home it worked one day and now it’s dead. Plugging it in is the only way it’s gonna stay on so I can’t go to room to room with it. And now it doesn’t even work at all. Very upsetting. I called them and spoke to somebody and they said the guy was probably out to lunch at the other store. And he said someone will call me back and nobody did and it’s been almost a week and now my computer doesn’t even work at all. Very disappointed I will get an extended warranty next time instead of taking it there

So grateful for The Computer Guy in Goshen. My computer system crashed after a power outage at my local business. Within 20 minutes they had Chris at my business! He saved the day! Within a half hour my system was fixed and my business was able to be up and running normally. I am so happy with their services and definitely recommend them!

Have used The Computer Guy a few times. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and take their time to explain things. Prices are reasonable for repairs, and service is provided in a very timely manner.
