Mike and Jill have always responded to my questions and texts and taken my calls. They have helped me immediately when possible or made an appointment at my convenience. Always professional, reasonably priced service, and they look at the best way to address issues cost wise. I travel to them because they are that good at knowledge of computers and excellent service.

I just happened to stumble over Mike and Jill's shop because I passed it many times over the years. When my Dell laptop stopped charging, and the battery died, I thought to bring it in and see if it could be fixed. Mike agreed to look at it and give me advice. After he opened it up his assessment was that the charging port attached to the mother board went bad and could have affected the mother board. I was pretty disappointed because the mother board is the heart of the computer, and I felt the laptop was a great laptop and was not prepared to spend a thousand plus on a new one. Jill and Mike did some magic and found a replacement used motherboard and Mike said its worth fixing because he agreed the laptop was a good one. Fast forward he replaced the board and the battery and brought my Lenovo back to life with added spunk. I am more than happy with the service and would highly recommend them for any problems with your Electonics. They are knowledgeable, friendly and reasonable. Give them your business you won't regret it.

We discovered Mike years ago when he was in a smaller location nearby when we needed an iphone screen fixed (before there was a screen fix shop on every corner). He did a quality job at a reasonable price. Since then we've use his services many times to fix and upgrade phones, mac books and more and always happy the friendly service from him and his staff, and of course with the work that he stands behind 100%. I have and will continue to recommend Mike the Computer Guy Next door. [Took these photos when I brought a mac book in for a cracked screen.]

Charges 60$ for “gaming” pc assessment over 30$ for a “dell”. Although they’re exactly the same components inside each computer. If anything, a dell would be more annoying. A blue screen of death on either system is the same so once the price is different you steer clear immediately. Either way, charging 179.99$ + 60$ assessment fee for a blue screen windows reboot is highway robbery. I’ll edit the review responding to you - I did the job for a family member myself in which you’d have charged over 230$ for - solely because I didn’t want them taken advantage of. it required a full windows reboot and took 1 hour including 30 minutes downloading windows. The 1* remains because you’re ripping off clueless customers on how long these jobs take. Just because others aren’t literate doesn’t mean you can scam them. Also Jill was polite, but her explanations were illogical as to why it costs more. A “gaming” PC doesn’t mean it’s thrown together sloppily nor would it matter for a blue screen. No parts besides a hard drive would ever need to come out.
