My son’s laptop had a fan that was extremely loud. I did not have the time to look into it due to work and suggested that he bring it to a computer repair shop since it should have been a pretty quick and fairly cheap fix. They held onto the laptop for just about a month. They suggested fixing all the viruses on the computer (basically running antivirus and malwarebytes-both free to download) for 100+ dollars. After we received the computer after a month, none of the fans were running…. Why send back a laptop with 2 non working fans and state that it’s fixed…. Claimed that we would need a new motherboard, but suggested we buy one of their refurbished laptops instead. I took 30 minutes and fixed it myself and it’s been running great. My laziness ultimately cost my son 200 dollars and potential 1000+ dollars. If you need repairs, you’ll have better luck at your local Bath&Body Works

Stay away from Computer Answers. In short, requested a custom built desktop with specific components including discs, brands, processor, etc. Agreed on price. I requested a written proposal with all discussed components listed to include models, speeds, capacities, type and generation of processor, etc. They proceeded to complete project without proving list of components. At pickup, I requested more info than listed on invoice and I was told he had to look for it. No problem with that. Paid for it, took it home and when I went to connect it, I noticed dirt on the power supply fan. Proceeded to open case only to find more dirt on mother board, cooling fan, graphics card and on the bottom of the case. The two discs were 2.5 in attached to the housing with Velcro. Not kidding! I have pictures. Requested refund and they refused, owner not responding despite four telephone messages in three different stores and emails to both personal email and business email. I know they have a non-refund policy but my contention is they did not delivered the promised product. Have filed complaint with BBB, warning you guys here. Will move on to contacting Google Business, Yelp, other social media sites. Small claims is not out of consideration except Courts are not hearing this type of cases. Pavel, if you are reading this, you might wanna reach out. Will not return and strongly urge you to go somewhere else for your computer repairs.

I spilled water on my 2012 Dell laptop and it died. The Geek Squad told me to come to Albany and when I did, they wouldn't even look at it because of how old it was. They told me to find a small repair shop to help. Enter Computer Answers. I called the store and spoke with Jake, who told me to bring my laptop right in. He said he would at least be able to recover the data for me so it could be transferred to a new computer. I really didn't want to buy a new laptop because mine has a lot of features they don't put in laptops these days (like a DVD/CD player). Jake called me later that night and said he would be able to fix it, gave me a price, and said he could upgrade me to Windows 10 (I had 7). I thought the price was great and gave him the go-ahead. He had it fixed within a few days and it works great! He gave me a new keyboard, mother board, memory, etc., and offered me a new mouse because he wasn't sure about the touch pad. I've got all my data, my laptop is working perfectly and even the touch pad is working now. I'm so grateful to Jake and his hard work! He saved me at least $800 on a new Dell that would have had minimal features. Highly recommend this place! Thanks, Jake!!

Employee was not honest and had the attitude that I was inconveniencing him. They did work that I did not ok without contacting me then lied and said he left a message. I do not have voicemail set up. He complained that it had been there a long time and when I pointed out that I was told twice that they were waiting on a part (2 weeks each time and one time they forgot to order so an extra few days for that.) The math on the bill did not reflect the $150 I already paid even though it is noted on there that I did. When I questioned the bill and mentioned the money I buy down he argued with me and denied it until I pointed it out on the bill. He then threatened to take parts out of the computer and said my computer had been there over 6 months. It's been less than 3 and says so right on the paperwork. They have my $150 deposit and still have my daughters computer. After the first time that employee lied I started recording just in case there were issues. Twice I asked why he was being rude and lying and he said "Does it matter? I'm busy." I NEED OWNER TO CONTACT ME

Prices are fair. Work is top notch. Small shop so service is slow because of how busy they get. Just plan to be patient. If you need something done within a week, this isn't your place. They did a very difficult soldering job and replaced a chip on my Xbox. Still works perfectly. I am currently waiting for a laptop. It's been two months, but due to the specific model getting a keyboard is difficult. Not in stock anywhere and from ASUS it is $400 because the track pad is part of it. They have a guy who can solder well and is going to attempt separating it and attaching an alternate keyboard. Would highly recommend.
