This company operates a fraudulent scheme to repair discontinued automotive electronics which are critical to vehicle operation. When challenged by consumers who have been defrauded, they refund prepaid fees that they have taken for diagnosis and repair services. As an retired automotive engineer, I recognized the fraud based upon their diagnosis report and confirmed it when they returned my device. Prior to dispatching the device to G7, I had installed tamper tape inside the unit to be able to confirm whether any work had been completed. When the unit was returned, the tamper tape was still intact, which would not have been possible had they done the hardware repair that they had claimed. The unit had not even been opened. Even if the tamper tape had been broken, it was clear from the moisture proof conformal coating that covers the circuit board was undisturbed under visual and UV inspection. This would be impossible had they made a hardware repair as they had claimed. When challenged, they claimed it was a communications mistake and that the unit was unrepairable due to the failure of the processor unit. The processor was fully operational. Under threat of publicity, G7 refunded my fee. I eventually repaired the device myself. The repair required the replacement of a resistor at a cost of under a penny. The work took less than one hour after the schematics were obtained. There are plenty of reports similar to mine on vehicle enthusiast sites and on the BBB portal. Buyer beware. This company may do some credible work, but they are also engaging in fraud and their claim of a communications error is preposterous. Photos show the tamper tape and undisturbed moisture proof coating and the defective component that I replaced. ADDENDUM: I keep an eye on these reviews and it seems that G7 Computers is still up to its fraudulent tricks 5 months after my post. I have therefore sent a complaint to the office of the New York State Attorney General with a copy of my report and illustrations as well as a copy of the letter I received from G7. I urge others who have experienced the same fraud to do likewise. This company needs to clean up its act.

I had an ECM repaired for my 2007 Dodge 3500 and the service was excellent. The part is working wonderfully. The customer service was excellent. Whenever I had a question, we would communicate through text messages in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!!

My 1993 VW EuroVan is sadly sick. Possibly the ECU. Fortunately good reviews pointed me to G7 computers. Hopefully this 5 star review will connect others, in need, with this great company. Fast turn around, reasonable cost, and great follow up , especially John who quickly responded to all my emails. Unfortunately after reinstalling the unit and following up with John's additional suggestions, no luck, the problem must be something else. So after all THEIR time and effort to save my van , but to no avail, they compensated me with a full refund . What a company ! Do not hesitate to use their services. Thanks again John. John M.

Great Experience! They tried to reprogram/fix my ECM not once but when there was still issues I sent it back a second time with no charge. Turns out I had a bad ECM that would not hold the programing. What made this company above and beyond was they stand by their word and refunded me the original amount I paid to have my ECM reprogrammed when they couldn't fix it. If I ever find myself in the future with ECM issues on any vehicle they will be my FIRST choice of solutions.

They fixed my Jeep Module very good. Remember after installed must be driven 60 miles before it clear the code or sensor light. They did excellent job and fix it on time. The Other company couldn't fix it.
