Took a PC that shut off and wouldn’t power up. They said they couldn’t figure it out and just wanted to start replacing parts. Their assumption was that there was a power surge that took out the power supply and motherboard. That was wrong. Neither was bad yet they replaced the motherboard. It turned out to be a graphics card. They just wanted to continue to randomly replace parts. I would highly recommend steering clear of geek squad with any technical issues.

When I was locked out of my cell phone and other customer support services said it could be unlocked with a factory reset, but I would lose all of my data, I made an appointment with the Geek Squad. Thanks to Grayson, the tech who worked with me, not only was my phone unlocked, but all of the data restored. Grayson's skills and understanding of my concerns made for an excellent experience with the Geek Squad. Thank you Grayson!

The Geek Squad service I've used over the past 3 or 4 years is now going from in store appointments to over the phone virtual IT services anywhere at any time. This is a game changer for me since I used to have to go inside the store to then make an appointment to get service. It's essential for deadlines related to assignments or work.

I hope I can give a zero star rating. I would like to upgrade my small SSD boot drive to a larger one. But I would like to clone the small one to the larger one so after replacement, I do not need to re-install anything. I called the customer service of Geek Squad Team, and they confidently told me they can do this. So I made an appointment with our local Geek Squad Team, spent quite long time to drive to there, and went to the appointment on time. However, the technician of the local Geek Squad Team told me they do not know how to do that. I said your customer service told me you guys can do this, so I scheduled this appointment. They rudely told me "those people always tell customers we can do this and we can do that, which are not true". So I wasted a lot of time driving there but got no service. I would like to know who was lying, the customer service of Geek Squad Team, or the local Geek Squad Team? I will no longer trust Best Buy and the service they provide.
