I had recently purchased a PC off of Facebook marketplace and took it here to get it looked at and had some software installed. On my initial visit, the staff was very welcoming which was nice being that I am new to the PC world. Then, they took their time in listening to what services I wanted and figure out what would work best for me! Before I left, they were able to give me a rough estimate of the cost and approximately how long it would take to service my PC. I left feeling confident that I had chosen the right place. As soon as my PC was done, they communicated this to me and it was easy as paying for the services and picking up my PC. They should me in person what was done, which I appreciate as I knew I was getting what I wanted. Overall, simple and straightforward! I truly appreciate how they were able to guide me through the whole process and since then, my PC is has been working with no issue! Definitely recommend!

After a frustrating experience with another local tech service, I decided to bring my PC to MDC Technology, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with their work. From the moment I walked in, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. I had originally been struggling with boot issues and a GPU diagnosis, and after a lot of trial and error with another company, I was left with more problems than I started with. The team at MDC quickly identified the issue: my PC was running on a beta BIOS, which was causing conflicts with Windows 10. They also recommended upgrading to Windows 11 and increasing my SSD storage, which turned out to be exactly what I needed. What really stood out to me was their honesty and transparency. They even confirmed that my 2070 Super GPU was perfectly fine, which was a relief, as I had doubts about it being faulty. Unlike other places I’ve been, MDC took the time to actually diagnose the real issues instead of jumping to conclusions or pushing unnecessary upgrades. MDC’s pricing is fair and well worth it for the level of service they provide. While they are a bit more expensive than other shops, the quality of their work and the peace of mind I gained was absolutely worth it. My PC is running perfectly now, and I’m extremely grateful for their expertise. If you need tech support or repairs, I highly recommend MDC Technology. They’re the real deal!

I was having a heart attack this morning, trying to send a message on my husband’s computer, well forget it. It froze! I didn’t know that. When my husband got home, we took it to MDC Computer, two experienced young guys helped us. Right away, they fixed it, l felt so relieved and happy. If you guys have issues with your computer, I trust these people. Thank you Daniel, and Daniel, I hope l got your names right, I was a nervous wreck, but you guys helped us! Again thank you.

I am really sorry to give MDC a 3-star rating, but their excellent service of my laptop was eclipsed by unwanted software being installed on my machine without notice or permission, and by a program being updated that I specifically did not want updated and had turned off automatic updates for. Pros: --The staff is really great. Communicated well and were very helpful. --Diagnostic came in within the 3-5 days they mentioned, and by then, they had actually already fixed my small problem - there was just some debris that was keeping the trackpad from clicking. --Because it was such a small issue, they charged us only their minimum, which is $85 as of October 2024. --Computer came back spanking clean all over. It was like getting our car detailed! Con: I was not asked nor told when we turned the machine in that they planned to install software. Had we known, we would have declined and asked them not to. When I got the computer back, I noticed a number of things had been installed, icons put on my desktop, and/or pinned to my taskbar. When asked what all had been added to my computer, they sent a list of 13 programs/browsers/extensions that they install when a computer is serviced. I already had 5 of them, but I ended up taking time to remove everything they had installed. In addition, they updated Audacity, an audiorecording software. I was using a specific version and had turned off auto-updates because later versions had been found to be unstable. In addition, when they updated, they didn't save my settings, and I had to go in and reconfigure everything. If you don't know much about computers and want someone experienced to tell you what software you should have, that's great. But the store should be informing the customer and giving them the opportunity to opt out. The service was so good that we will probably go back if we have another problem, but we will be forewarned to decline unwanted software next time!

These guys will swindle anyone who doesn't know about computers. PC built in 2020 and given to me for Christmas. Ever since I've received it, it's been rebooting randomly, sometimes without running any graphic intensive games or intense programs(It'll happen while running Firefox and Spotify.). Brought in the PC multiple times over the span of the warranty, got told that nothing was wrong and that it was dusted. This happened multiple times: PC reboots, take it into MDC, nothing is fixed. 5 years pass, and during these 5 years I am under the impression it is a faulty power supply. Warranty is long gone, and so finally I decide to check the temperatures (Which, admittedly, is what I should've done first.). Find that my processor is consistently at max temperatures without running anything graphics intensive. Took PC to Best Buy's Geek Squad, get told its an overheating issue. Within 20 minutes. I went to MDC today, got mad that they wouldn't fix the problem that had been happening while it was under warranty, and then left. I got a call from the owner, said he'd fix the issue as long as its a hardware issue, and it'd be free. I'll update this review when I receive my PC again. UPDATE 2/13/25 Received my PC about 3 days after I had posted the review. Since then, I've had no issues running any games. It seems like they installed a new cooler and a new top fan, and it runs smoothly. They even upgraded it to Windows 11. I'm happy they fixed the PC, but not so happy it took this long. Review updated from 1 star to 3, I still recommend doing your research on computer places. UPDATE 2/16/25 I was playing games when my PC suddenly rebooted again. Obviously, something is wrong, and it isn't the CPU this time for sure. Download software to stress test and check GPU temperature (Furmark) and see that GPU is very strained. I have lost all hope in this company, so I'll be going elsewhere, or just doing it on my own, to replace thermal padding on my GPU. Again, this place, in my opinion, is a scam. Definitely will not be going back, ever.
