It is simply overwhelming if you are into tech or gaming. They have EVERYTHING!! You should look at the MicroCenter branded memory sticks and cards as they are half the price. They have everything from Apple to their own brand. Monitors, keyboards, cables, anything you want to build your own computer, drones, hard drives, back packs and cases and everything else you could want.

Love this place. Went in with my son to buy components for his first PC build (his Christmas present and school PC) and Matthew was super helpful. Not steering us to super expensive stuff but a good trade off between performance and price.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Micro Center for years, but my recent experience at the Paterson, NJ location has been beyond disappointing. I purchased a motherboard as part of a bundle deal two years ago and even paid for a two-year warranty to ensure peace of mind. Unfortunately, the motherboard turned out to be defective, and when I tried to use the warranty before it expired, I was met with nothing but resistance. I’ve now visited this location THREE times, traveling over 30 minutes each way, only to be told repeatedly that nothing could be done. The general manager was incredibly rude and dismissive, treating me like I was at fault for their failure to honor the warranty. He didn’t even let me fully explain my situation and made insulting remarks, laughing about losing me as a customer instead of trying to fix the issue. Over email, they act apologetic, but in person, it’s a completely different story. Even worse, the store offered me a credit of only $81.91 for a motherboard that was worth $250 at the time of purchase and still holds significant value today. Micro Center doesn’t even sell an equivalent replacement for less than $200. This offer is unacceptable, and it feels like a bait-and-switch tactic—happy to sell a warranty but unwilling to honor it when a claim is made. The cashiers and staff also need training in customer service. At a time when I needed assistance, they were argumentative instead of helpful. I expected better from Micro Center, but this experience has shown me they don’t value their customers once a sale is complete. I’ll never shop at Micro Center again, and I won’t recommend this store to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere—this company clearly doesn’t stand by its warranties or its customers.

I paid for a diagnostic at micro center for $80 because I was told by 3 employees to do so. I knew the SSD was the problem for my computer crashing but the 3 employees kept telling me the SSD isn't a problem and to pay the $80 to get the diagnostic. The diagnostic came back and told me my SSD was failing. Which I already knew. They didn't even use the full 6 hours and did it in an hour and a half! I was lied to and then told something I already knew. I could've just bought a new SSD instead. I was told it wasn't the SSD and it turns out it was. They didn't do any labor, all they did was run diagnostics and the pages for the diagnostics don't even show it's my computer so I don't even know if they even ran a diagnostic. They were suppose to open up my computer and isolate the problem which is within that $80 service but they admitted to me that they didn’t. All they did was run a diagnostic and take screenshots of what it says. I also want to say they are clearly scammers. I could’ve bought the 1TB EVO990 which is on sale for $75. Instead they said if I wanted that same SSD it would’ve costed the price of the SSD plus labor which would be $280. It takes less than a minute to install an SSD and they want to charge $195 for the service. They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this. Especially by scamming a college student. They were suppose to open up my computer and isolate the problem which is within that $80 service but they admitted to me that they didn’t. All they did was run a diagnostic and take screenshots of what it says. They didn’t do anything.

I’ved been shopping at microcenter since 2012 and I’m not much of a review guy but I must say this is a hidden gem of a place where you can get almost anything related to your computer h/w. The staff is knowledgeable and super helpful. They also have a great return policy, price match on items and store great quality products as well. Mike the manager was very helpful towards my situation with a recent build. He made my experience worth the money and visit to the store. Professional assistance with an easy and efficient gallery of everything from the smallest piece to the priciest part. The staff are eager to answer your questions, no novice is too new, I felt encouraged and was never given the roundabout. This your must stop shop before ordering online.
