Great experience with Geek Squad repair of iPad charging port. First rate work plus a friendly, understanding attitude. Couldn’t be happier.

I absolutely hate them, second time I've made a repair appointment for a device and they ask me no important questions on phone and when I go there with appointment I'm waiting just for these people to tell me "oh you have android ooooo too bad, we don't touch those" something thing for my Alienware laptop! No one asked me anything important on phone but wasted hours of my time driving and waiting in the store. Terrible, I will never go to another best buy. So absolutely outraged. No apologies or anything, just a " you're beat"

I have a service contract that is renewed yearly with the Geek Squad at Best Buy. I brought my laptop in because it would not charge. The charging port had become dislodged and could not be used. Best Buy had my computer for two months with just one update;my laptop had been sent out for the repair. After ten weeks I received an email that it was being sent back to the store. When they received it back at the store, I received a phone call that it was ready for pick up, but it was unable to be repaired. I was told they don't make the part anymore and they couldn't fix it. So they had it for ten weeks, and it couldn't be repaired. I was offered to buy a new computer with % off. I contemplated it since this laptop is eight years old. However, I brought the laptop to a small computer repair person who was able to repair the charging port by putting in a new one, and I had my laptop back in two days. I asked him if he had a spare part laying around, as I was told by the biggest computer repair in the state that they don't make this part anymore. This repair guy said, "no, it's a $25 part, I ordered it and put it in." Thus saving me from a large purchase, but more importantly, saving me from lies for the sole purpose of making it look like, buying a new expensive laptop was my only option.

I went here recently to have my files transfer from one laptop to the next. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The transfer took overnight, and was ready by the evening the next day. I would recommend this Geek Squad to anyone needing computer assistance.
