My wife has an iPhone 12 Pro Max in which the screen began glitching after some humidity got in it. First red flag was when we arrived. He told us it would be 15 mins to replace the screen. The gentleman didn’t even confirm what type of screen he would replace it with, only that he was going to replace it. I’m going to reiterate that the phone is an IPHONE 12 PRO MAX THAT HAS AN OLED SCREEN. When we got the phone back, he confirmed there was no damage to the motherboard or any important components of the phones internal. Yes, it worked but the quality of the screen was very bad. Whatever, the phone was working when we left, or so we thought… Not even a few hours later my wife tells me the phone feels like it’s heating up and I feel it and notice the same thing. I told her to let it cool off for a bit and then use it again to see if it happens again. She stays off for one hour and when she goes to use the phone the phone not only started getting hot again after 10 mins of use, but the screen would flash black and turn back on and the touch screen would stop responding unless my wife powered the screen off and back on. I message the gentleman and tell him the phone is acting up and send him a video of it, which I’ve uploaded for you folks to see. He agrees to have us bring it back to diagnose it and swap the screen the end of the week. During this time I began doing some Googling and discovered that any iPhones with an OLED screen are not supposed to be replaced with an LCD screen. Guess what screen was installed on my wife’s iPhone 12 Pro Max? Yep, an LCD screen. The reason? LCD SCREENS USE MORE ENERGY TO POWER THE SCREEN HENCE THE OVERHEATING. Not only this but it also DEGRADES THE BATTERY DUE TO POWER CONSUMPTION. With my new found knowledge I inform him of this when we bring it back and he flat out lies and tells me that LCD screens will not create overheating on iPhones that have OLED as standard. He tells me he will replace the screen and when I question why he didn’t offer the OLED screen he tells me “everyone chooses LCD. That’s why I swapped yours with an LCD.” Idc what other people go with? I’m a huge advocate for QUALITY products so when he said this that was red flag #2. He said OLED is much more expensive, but my gut feeling is that he doesn’t order or have any OLED screens in as it benefits him to flip low quality parts to be installed on expensive phones. More on this in a few with proof. Had he offered OLED I would have gone with that. The gentleman tells me it will be 10 mins and we go for a walk and come back. We get the phone and we ask him about warranty which he wasn’t very clear about. Something about 30 days? We ask him what happens if the phone continues overheating and the glitch issue happens and he tells us “just trade it in if it happens again”, which is an absolute joke of an answer. He literally has “Phone Repair” listed as his services. What kind of repair is telling someone to trade your phone in if it acts up? Later that day what happens? Yep, the phone heats up and the glitch happens again. At this point I’m already out $130.00 and he has not repaired the phone. As a matter of fact he’s made it worse. At this point I said screw it and went to a second repair shop. I explain to them the situation and the gentleman took my phone and his words were “they replaced your iPhone 12 Pro Max with an LCD SCREEN? REALLY??” I asked him if an LCD can cause overheating and he immediately said yes, due to power consumption on LCD screens which shouldn’t be installed on iPhones with OLED screens. He said he will take my phone and diagnose it. Told me to come back in 1 hour. When we arrived to get our phone the gentleman confirmed that not only was the LCD screen not supposed to be installed, but the LCD Screen that was used was the lowest quality of LCD screen. The screen that was installed was a PL QV6, a $15-20 LCD. See picture. This other location replaced it with an OLED screen and guess what the overheating stopped and the glitch went away. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION IN CLIFTON, NJ.

By far the best service ever. Long story short I took my phone here to get my wife iPhone 11 screen fixed while I was on the clock . Hesitant because I didn’t know how long it would take know I get off at 4. I pulled up at 3:30 and pulled off at 3:45. He said 15 min but I didn’t really think it would only take 15 min. Phone works great. I recommend everyone to go here. Happy wife happy life lol. Thank you again for the excellent service

Great safe reliable place to have your phone fixed. Last winter I dropped my nephews iPad off at the owners home and he fixed the screen within a hour. I am so glad I found his info this time because I had two broken phones, he had them fixed within 1.5 hours and he fixed a phone that I didn’t think was going to be able to be fixed. This guy is trust worthy, reliable and does great work! Thank you thank you thank you!

THANK YOU, KAREEM! Earlier last year, I frantically searched for a way to salvage over a year’s worth of important files and memories after my iPhone XR got caught in a boot loop. I tried everything I could find online and even went to Apple, who’s staff told me the data was unsalvageable. They said that the only chance to save the phone was to reset to factory settings, which would surely wipe all the data that was not backed up. I then decided to go into a few local phone repair shops, whose associates all said the same thing. I was just about to give up when I came across Kareem’s shop in Clifton. I explained the situation over the phone, and he told me to come right over. Admittedly, it is a unique experience since his shop does not have the typical storefront, but I decided to give it a try because the reviews seemed legit. Twenty minutes after I handed him the phone, he got it to power back on! Turns out there was an issue with the charging port. From there, he did have to tinker with it some more to get the phone working normally. He explained the process and walked me through each step and price estimate before any intervention. I will say, I am not an easy customer, I am definitely not a tech expert, and I do ask a lot of questions. Overall, he did a great job with me and more importantly provided a fantastic service that allowed me to recover all of my data (!!!). What really impressed me, apart from his hardware and expertise (and his ability to do what everyone was telling me was impossible - including Apple), was that at one point when there was a misunderstanding, he even did the honest thing and honorably agreed to adhere to our previous agreement though the situation had changed upon inspecting the phone. The point is, Kareem is legit. He saved priceless data for me when everyone else, including Apple themselves, told me it was a lost cause. Even a few weeks after service when I had some questions, he was readily available to re-inspect and happy to help. I replaced the phone a few weeks later since it was no longer reliable for me, but I still have it and use it as a backup, and it still works nearly 9 months later. The best thing is all those memories I was able to recover with Kareem’s help, and the cherry on top was that I discovered a top-quality local business. Highly recommend it and would refer my loved ones. Thank you, Kareem, and best wishes!
