I was looking for a computer repair shop to fix my laptop so that I could have it for my Winter semester in college this January. After looking around, I came across AJN Repair in Bloomfield, NJ. Although I reached out to a few shops in my vicinity, I decided to go along with the one that was closest to my place of residence. When I reached this place of business it appeared to be closed, but before I walked away the owner pulled up in his Mercedes Benz and stated that he was in fact opened for business. I explained to him that I was looking to replace my battery, which I believed to had been the issue. I stayed there for an estimated time of 25 minutes speaking with this guy about my experiences with my laptop, where we discussed everything else that had nothing to do with the computer before I left. After a few days, I called back for an update but could not get through. The guy did not call me back after few days of unanswered calls. When I finally spoke with him he stated that he was looking for parts for my type of computer since he wanted to help me so much. A week later I called for an update and he stated that he was waiting for parts to become available online. I trusted this individual, assuming him to be a professional. A month passed, and I still did not have my computer for my college courses. When I went-in in person and spoke with him it was more excuses. I got frustrated after numerous calls, and told him I will get it fixed elsewhere. He then apologized and stated that he had health issues, particularly cancer that he was dealing with. I became empathetic because I have lost a few loved ones due this terminal illness. However, I realized he was only buying time, while preying on my sympathy. I cannot make this story any shorter, unfortunately. I asked for my laptop back, with an understanding that he had personal issues. When I went to pick-up my laptop, it was apart and unscrewed and he told me that I could not leave with it then because he had to put it back together. He also stated that he would purchase a battery and replace the one in it (after all this time), and he would do it free of charge. He seemed real concern about if I had a BitLocker Protection on it - he kept stating that I could lose all of my data. I finally went to get my computer back after 4 or so months, and of course, nothing worked. Although I was upset, I chucked-it-off as a loss. He handed me a power cord which did not belong to my laptop and I noticed it immediately. He then, handed me my cord - but not before I noticed a Dell laptop similar to mine on his station. I had this gut wrenching feeling that something was wrong about all of this, and I gave him a call back the next day and told him that I believe he still handed me the wrong power cord. He kept saying how he was bending over backwards to help me and even bought me a battery free of charge - adding insult to injury. Today I decided to call Dell and speak with an agent regarding the computer that I purchased and to see if I could get any information on the specs. and the parts currently in my laptop. I had a difficult time since the Service Number on the back appeared to have been wiped off. However, because I registered my laptop with Dell when I bought it I was able to get help. Otherwise, they would not have been able to help me without the Service Number. Come to find out, this guy decided to swap-out the parts to my laptop and hoped that I would not notice it. He proved himself to be a liar, and I am more upset at the fact that he utilized "Cancer" to state that he was not being malicious and to justify having kept my laptop for over four months. I will be taking matters to a further extent, so this review is the least of his worries right now. I chose to support a Black Owned Business and he spat in my face instead. In the end, I lost all of my important work accumulated over some years and it almost cost me a productive semester. Thanks for your services, but I have learned my lesson moving forward. (The 1 star is not even deserving of this establishment).

Spilled water and splashed my laptop, the charger and USB ports no longer functioned. Brought it in on a Saturday, paid a $49.99 diagnostic fee that counted toward any cost. Got a call that Monday saying it was ready. Parts were examined, some only needed to be dried out, others had shorted and needed to be replaced. Laptop was fully fixed and it works like new. Total cost $169. Great service, knows his stuff, reasonable prices. Al earned my business, I won't hesitate to return.

This place is pretty good nice service. It's much better than Falcon safety where people are rude and nasty and have bad attitudes bad body odor. If you need good products for your computer come here and not Falcon safety

Al really delivered! I needed my laptop serviced before a move last minute. He saved the day and I was able to pick up my device the night before the movers came. Super professional and knowledgeable. The prices are fairly reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

My fiancée dropped off his pc laptop at this place a month ago. AJ claimed he’d be able to fix the issue, assured my fiancée he would call him soon with a diagnosis and a quote, and my fiancée paid the $40 diagnostic fee (which shouldn’t even have been charged). AJ did not call or email my fiancée at all, and we only got updates when my fiancée called. AJ gave my fiancée the runaround for a month, lied about knowing how to fix the issue, then lied about having ordered the replacement parts, and then lied about having replaced the faulty component! AJ, you need to improve your skills and relevant knowledge, and you need to call and update your clients like you’re supposed to. Next time, be honest if you can’t fix something.
