Forgot my laptop charger on location. Really Didn’t feel like dealing with the mall / the crowds at Best Buy. I did a quick search for computer shops and this place popped up. It happened to be very close by to the hotel I was staying at so I went looking for a replacement Cord. Unbelievably, he had sold the last type of cord I needed earlier that day; so what did he do? He lent me - a total stranger from out of town on a work trip - his personal cord and just told me to get it back to him before I left town, which is exactly what I did today. Nice to know that people like this still exist in our crazy busy world - wonderful to be on the receiving end of this random act of kindness. I will do my best to pay it forward!

I brought my 3 year old laptop to be looked at due to not booting up, they found two issues, one regarding the video card and one about a RAM issue. They narrowed down the video card issue, but said it would take several hours to figure out the issue with the RAM and once they did, they may not be able to fix it. I told them not to dig further into, they told me to come pick it up and would not charge me, I thanked them for that and told them I would still pay for the time they put into it.

Technician took twenty minutes ( of a thirty minute window ) to confirm information provided in initial consultation. Erroneously declared the problem to be a PSU issue, resulting in purchasing an unnecessary replacement. Provided fix could not be replicated; No resolution found. Will update review based on resolution of issue. Updated Below! ----- Following up in response to the owners reply : I did not ask you for a discount, nor did I require one. I wasn't looking for a budget service, I was looking for professional help- Something I did not receive. My threat to review bomb you wasn't a threat; I was describing to you as politely as I could that your service would be rated as appropriate for the time, money, and frustration your service ultimately cost me, and for the lack of resolution provided. I spoke with your technicians at length before signing over my PC, and made it quite clear that while my priority was time, if a satisfactory solution couldn't be found in the bench time that I'd be happy to pay for tier 1 priority service; Instead of telling me "We couldn't get your PC to POST, we should move on to the Tier 1 plan now, as discussed." You told me "We got the computer to post by using our in house power supply." Now, a second brand new gold rated power supply later, I am exactly where I started, simply with a great deal more frustration. If my PC was simply still in the shop, I would be disappointed, but I would not be frustrated. Your lack of good communications skills is not something you should be blaming on your customer, which is pretty ironic given you supposedly value clear and respectful communication. I likewise wish things had unfolded differently. I am currently committed to finding a different repair business. my newly built PC wouldn't start because we weren't clicking the right button for the power button. instead of scamming us he just turned it on for us and we brought it back home for free. definitely trustworthy, thank you again!
