Called me to tell me they were on their way so I left work to meet them. I got home and they said they didn’t have the stack bracket. Wouldn’t find out an alternative except moving the appt to Friday. A week from today. This is the second time they were here. The first time they came my dryer didnt match for stacking with my model. Had to buy a dryer so they left with the washer. Just as they did today. I tried to call customer service and see if they could help me get it asap. They would do nothing. I asked for the gals supervisor and she said he was in a meeting. I asked her to get a call from him and she said she would try but he might forget. I have no words. Also the customer care is absolutely horrible. I realize they are busy with the holidays but they need to act better and be nicer. Fake it till they make it. Ok Rant over.

I scheduled an appointment through Apple with Geek Squad to have my iPhone battery replaced, since the Apple store is closed, due to the pandemic. When I arrived a week later for my appointment, I was informed they didn’t have my battery in stock. I would think booking the appointment would trigger a stock check and reorder, if necessary. We agreed they would order the battery and call me when it came in. Two weeks later, with no phone call, I started trying to call the store. All I could get is a remote answering service the first two times I called. Finally, I talked to a manager, Brandon. Nobody was able to find any information on my case number so far, so I explained what happened again and he said he would have the Geek Squad manager call me first thing on the morning, since they were closing. Dylan called me back at the end of the next day and left a voicemail. He wanted me to call him back and let him know what was happening. I didn’t bother calling to explain my problem a fourth time. I discovered the first time I arrived for my appointment, Geek Squad closed my case number with Apple, so I called Apple to file a complaint.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever seen plus I feel like I just got scammed. I took a laptop to them because the screen was too dim and they come back and tell me there’s nothing they can do about it because it would cost more that the laptops worth to fix it. Then they charge me 200 just for standing in line. Then I take it over to another place and they fixed it right up for me no issue and at only 230 dollars with a new hard drive, battery, and upgrade to windows 10. Now it works like new. I will never take another electronic to geek squad ever again.

This is the first time dealing with Geek Squad that I can recall. It was a small task I needed done but it seemed pretty painless. If I had gone with Genius Bar, it would have taken a few days just to get in for an appointment to be seen and then they said over the phone that they can only take the int. hard drive out of my Mac but they couldn’t install it into my external HD. Genius Bar did it right then and there. Waited maybe 5 minutes to be seen because they were a little backed up NBD.

My laptop crashed on a Friday and the Geek Squad was there to find me a suitable replacement. They were able to transfer my files from the hard drive, and I was operational again by Monday morning. I also have Total Tech coverage, which has bailed me out too many times to mention. I highly recommend Best Buy's Geek Squad service.
