I ordered a Laptop battery and cable for an older Dell laptop from them. After a few days, I went in to pick it up and paid for it. After getting home, I opened it up, and the battery looked old. Even though someone had cleaned it up, it also had a significant dent in the storm. The cable that was already plugged into the battery and very clean till I unplugged it, and a bunch of dog hair fell out of it. I still installed it into the computer and attempted to charge it. But it would not take charge and all troubleshooting pointed to a bad battery. I tore my laptop back apart and realized the build date in the battery was over 7 years old. I checked the internet and they had charged me the full price for a new battery for this model. I called recompute the next day and they seemed to be ready for this call. And tried to get me to bring the computer in for them to troubleshoot it. Had to drive all the way back to Bozeman to get a refund. They never tried to explain anything and implied it was my fault it didn't work till I told them it was a 7-year-old battery. They still acted like I was the problem and have my part of my money back. And told me not to come back. Very unprofessional, I believe they did that to try and charge me shop time to fix it. Unfortunately, I'm a cybersecurity student and can take care of my own troubleshooting. I keep hearing about business in the area turning into this kinda racket. It's kinda disappointing being a local.

Had a great experience here! I hauled in my PC for a dying cooler issue; they recommended a more cost-effective replacement, had it fixed up within a day, and recycled the old parts. The cost was extremely reasonable, and I know where I'll be coming if I have PC issues in the future!

This place is great! Morgan and Lincoln assisted me; they were very helpful! This past April and June, I needed to clean out a house which necessitated donating several desktop computers and flat screens. Re-Compute took our computers and LCDs as donations! Morgan helped strip out the hard drives, which we kept, but they took everything else. 🙏 Note for anyone in a similar situation, btw: They will not take printers though. However, Pacific Recycling in town will take those!

I've had some issues with my two TVs: sound, connection and remote control issues, etc. I spoke with a very personable and helpful Kenny on the phone who scheduled owner Dave to come to my home the following week. Dave was prompt and was able to fix several issues with the first TV quickly. We've almost got all the issues ironed out on my second Smart TV. He'll be back next week to troubleshoot the continued connection issue and install a Blink camera, which the former person I hired was unable to do. His pricing so far was fair and his help was comprehensive and to be trusted. I'm thankful to have a resource with my best interests (and pocketbook) in mind. Thank you Dave and to your team.

Have gone and bought stuff from this store several times, the people there are super kind and helpful. Have never used them for repair or service so this review is based purely on the retail side. A lot of things I have bought there are because I needed them that day and nowhere else in town sells computer parts besides radio shack and Walmart every now and then. It being local is nice but they definitely take advantage of them being one of the only local retailers for parts. Just paid $40 on a $20 240gb ssd, for context I can get the same brand and model of ssd with double the capacity for $30, not on sale. And thermal paste tubes are pricey as well considering they’re super cheap quality and much cheaper online. Not saying they shouldn’t have any markup based on being a local store, they have every right too of course, would just be nicer if some of thier prices were a little more down to earth. If you have patience just buy online for half the cost in some cases, otherwise if you need it today they’ll have what you need but definitely at a cost.
