Very Unsatisfied! Contacted Best Buy in Branson to get a 55 inch Smart TV purchased there installed by the Geek Squad. Was told that I had to call Geek Squad to make the appointment. Called the Geek Squad and was connected to an Asian rep overseas who said I had to pay the $200 fee up front and it would be a week before they could set it up. The day of set up at 5 pm, I called to see when they were coming, only to find that the whole thing was untrue. My husband went to Best Buy and was told that they do not have anything to do with the Geek Squad, its installers, payments or anything! I immediately called my credit card company and was able to stop my payment. Please beware of the Geek squad program in Branson,Mo. I am no longer a Best Buy shopper.

Came here on Sunday around 12:30pm (07/07/2024) to do a simple battery replacement and they guaranteed us to have it completed by sunday evening. We had no update and had to come in ourselves to find out it wasn’t going to be done until Monday mid afternoon. Then on Monday they called us after waiting in the store for 2 hours to tell us they broke the screen when replacing the battery and it won’t turn on anymore. So basically they ruined the whole phone. Then they haven’t called us to update use on the phone at all so during our lunch break we had to take extra time to come in and figure out what the issue was yet again. The men there today were much nicer than Monday, Evan, Dalton, and Terry, but still had a hard time finding answers other than just offering a whole new phone. Though this sounds ideal, we did not back up the phone prior to bringing because we did not think it would be broken so lots of things are getting lost due to them not being backed up on the iCloud. Our customer service has been absolutely terrible and I would recommend ANY OTHER PLACE. If you say you can do something it better be done right especially when paying $105 for it! DO NOT GO HERE!

After what Best Buy/Geek Squad has done to my friend over the past few months I’m canceling all of my memberships and joining him on writing the federal trade commission. Between not being able to call and talk to the person working on my item to paying for a totaltech membership and them not fixing any of his issues it’s absolutely ridiculous!

I sat on hold at Best Buy for 10 minutes and they never even answered the phone I had to call back again and sit on hold again finally when I got a hold of Best Buy they wanted me to make an appointment two hours later to come in and drop my phone off and leave it for approximately three hours to get a battery put in it! I ended up taking my phone to IPhone Express at the Branson Landing They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable they put a new battery in my iPhone in less than 10 minutes While I waited!

Well, my needs have been simple - but I have NOTHING but good things to say about the Geek Squad at Branson’s Best Buy. 1. I left my iPad at Walmart. During a driving rain storm. F-r-e-a-k-e-d out (internally.) Back to Wally World, it hadn’t been turned into the service desk. By then, I was soaked. Walked around for a bit, looking for my tablet. I returned to the service desk to leave my contact number. Different person this time. When I said “iPad”, she suggested I run over to Best Buy and see if the Geek Squad could do anything. So this middle-aged, on the verge of tears, soaking wet woman sloshes into Best Buy. From the employee at the front door to the 2 at Geek Squad . . . WOW. Lovely, accommodating, HELPFUL. They were able to track my iPad! 2. Yesterday I went to the AT&T store at Branson Hills. My iPad wasn’t taking a charge, figured it was the charging cord almost completely wrapped by now in electrical tape (thanks to being chewed on by a cat.) By the way, AT&T has had me by the short hairs for over 30 years. No complaints, except for their stores, which are hit-or-miss. The Branson Hills location is definitely a *MISS*, fyi. So I went over to the Geek Squad. The young lady there made sure what the problem was (yup, the charging cord), grabbed a longer/reinforced cord. She’d already determined my Apple power converter thing was good - thus I paid only for the cord, no fee for the diagnostics. Chatted with the young lady, oohed-&-awed over pics of her beautiful baby girl, showed her my grumpy(-looking) 34-year-old son, compared single-mom notes, and was out of there! Very pleased on what turned out to be a godawful 105 F. day. AT&T tried selling me a different type of cord & converter b/c they were out of the same cord I already had. Didn’t bother testing anything, just gave me the box with the off-hand remark, “I’m sure this will work.” So I sat my fat butt down at a table and did it myself, thank god. Nothing. Didn’t work. THEN the employee decided to check it out - like she didn’t believe me when I told her it didn’t work. And lo-&-behold, guess what? IT DIDN’T WORK. I would have walked out of the AT&T store with a $36.00+tax hole in my bank account for NOTHING! On - reminder - the hottest day in, like, years. I don’t “DO” extreme heat. If my iPad hadn’t been down to 11% battery power, I wouldn’t have even started my car. No worries, I’ll leave the AT&T store a perfectly appropriate 🤨 review. But back to the Geek Squad: ⭐️⭐️ FIVE 🌟 STARS ⭐️⭐️ Love ‘em! Jennifer deserves a raise! Not only a fantastic employee, a single mom, too. Yes, I’m a “Feminazi” (a Marine Corps veteran, actually.) Not kidding - GIVE JENNIFER A RAISE. Not a symbolic, bs “Employee of the Month” pat-on-the-back. Not an empty, bs “we appreciate you” email from corporate. Moola, MONEY. Pay Jennifer MORE 💵 MONEY.
