This was my first time ever using Geek Squad because I generally just try to fix stuff myself. Josh was able to help me through a computer hardware fix. I wish I would have just gone here sooner. I spent needless hours trying to do the repairs myself.

terrible communication, and they also reset my phone completely and turned off my sim card for a simple front camera repair, which i had zero clue about. i went there to get my front camera replaced, and when i first went there, the guy helping me told me that since the camera was attached to the screen, the screen would be replaced too, but they didn’t do that. they also didn’t tell me i only had a week to come in for the repair or they’d send the part back. thankfully they had one in stock, but they should have communicated that with me. when i finally did get my phone repaired, they said it would be 3-4 hours, and they’d call my secondary number when it was ready to pick up. i waited about 6 hours, and there was absolutely zero phone call, and when i got to the store it was done and ready to be picked up. they ALSO reset my phone completely and DEACTIVATED MY SIM CARD. to fix the CAMERA. that was completely unnecessary. i live about 30 minutes away, so i don’t have the time or gas to be making trips into rochester every single day. when i went to the verizon store to get my phone turned back on, the verizon rep literally said that he had no idea why they needed to turn off the sim card and erase my phone, but they do it often enough that people regularly come in for help. if i could leave 0 stars, i would. there was zero communication on their end- if i had known they would reset my phone, i wouldn’t have gotten it fixed there. do not go to the geek squad, go to another place.

Horrible communication. Waste and time and effort. I went in to make an appointment to get back camera lens fixed. Got told I have to wait for the part to come in. Waited and waited, called back and got told they didn’t have any transaction from me and had to figure that out. Got told I would be kept up to date when the part is in. Finally called them again and was told “oh yeah, it’s in” so I make an appointment. Just went in for that appointment and was informed my part was returned due to how long I waited for an appointment. I was never contacted via phone nor email about the part being in, and was only sent survey emails about the service (prior to even getting anything done). Had to ask about a refund to be given. I also had to have today off of work to make this appointment that now has been canceled…

Went in for a battery replacement that I scheduled online through Apple. Cheapest place in town for it (same as Apple price). Was helped on appointment time - took about an hour (typical amount) to get the new battery replaced - and they fixed another issue my phone had with no extra charge!

I had an appt tues at 1 pm. Didn't rec any paper work so don't have the name of the person who made my problem I was there to fix much worse! Very Disappointed. June Hofschulte
