I had a fantastic experience at My Gadget Repair techs Cell Phone Repair! They went above and beyond by offering to send out my iPhone 12 to get the screen repaired, which wasn’t an option at other repair places I checked. The staff were incredibly pleasant to speak with, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. I’m thrilled with the service and will definitely be coming back for any future repairs. Highly recommend!

DO NOT SERVICE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. They are scammers who overexaggerate or completely conflate issues to take advantage of customers, especially those who aren’t tech-savvy. Here’s my experience: I initially brought my device to them because it was having issues. They told me the problem was with the RAM and charged me $180 to fix it. When I got the device back, it wasn’t performing as expected. They had downloaded a demo onto it, but when I tried to download a game (which is what I use the device for), it still wasn’t working. They then told me to go to GameStop for help in getting an SD card because that was the problem , no SD card. When I went to GameStop, they informed me that I should demand a refund because the repair shop’s explanation made no sense. GameStop confirmed the device already had a memory card, even though the repair shop tried to blame the issue on a missing memory card. They also explained that a RAM issue is really proprietary issue and that Nintendo would have fixed that with a mail in. I called the repair shop back, explaining the memory card was already there and that I paid them $180 to fix the RAM, yet the device still wasn’t functioning properly. They were dismissive, telling me to contact Nintendo’s customer service. I wasted hours with Nintendo, only to be told my account was perfectly fine and the issue was with the device itself. When I called the repair shop back again, they kept dodging me, claiming the manager wasn’t available and they’d call me back. It’s been two months, and I’ve called them at least four times. Now they’re asking me to print out my bank statement to prove the payment, which makes no sense and feels like another scam. I refused because bank statements contain sensitive information, including routing numbers, and they had no legitimate response to that concern. To add insult to injury, I took the device to a more reputable repair shop in Owings Mills, and they confirmed the RAM was never touched. I’ve since started the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and documenting everything, including pictures, to prove this repair shop took my money and did nothing to fix my device. What makes this even more infuriating is that my brother, who is on the autism spectrum, has been going to this shop for years. Knowing how they’ve treated me, I’ve lost all faith that they’ve been honest with him. I suspect they’ve taken advantage of him as well, charging him upwards of $1,000 for who knows what. Additionally, I’ve noticed a pattern with this establishment: if they know they did a good job, they’ll encourage you to leave a review. However, if they know they scammed you, they won’t mention reviews at all. This seems intentional, so be extra cautious. This place is completely untrustworthy, and I will never step foot there again. If you’re considering bringing your electronics to this shop, save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Take your business elsewhere. Ps . Also, I noticed in the Google reviews that they immediately respond to positive reviews left the same month, which makes sense because they clearly told those customers to leave good feedback. Response to owners Your response continues to avoid addressing the core issue: I paid $180 for a repair that was never done, and instead of refunding me, you’re offering to redo a service that I now know you are neither qualified nor trustworthy enough to perform. Why would I bring my device back to a shop that has already proven to be ethically compromised?i have called twice a week for the past 2 months …an empty invitation does nothing for me. You took my money performed no service and think I’m dumb enough to actually ever return or trust you? Please return my money and never contact me again

My Gadget repair did an excellent job with fixing my phone. They were able to fix it in 15 minutes. I previously took my phone to T-Mobile, Geek Squad, and 2 other repair shops and they all told me that the phone was not repairable. Thank you My Gadget Repair!
