I had more knowledge than he did, granted I do have an education related to electronics. However, he seems not to have any knowledge of anything. He also smells like marijuana. It was quite offputting. I definitely did not leave my $2000 laptop there. He also asked that I referred to him as a she, which I was not in the mood to play make believe so I refused to do so. He had a beard. that will be the absolute last time I ever go to a geek squad counter, unless I get curious which I doubt will happen.

I've used Geek Squad everytime I had issue with laptop or desktop and was more than satisfied each time. From backing up saved data from my Mom's PC to restoring functions that would not work on my laptop. Yeah they sold me virus protection but I should of had it anyway right. They most trusted name I go to in computer repair. They give good recommendations as well.

how this is a big company and they let rude people work for them, they just treat you like an anime, they don't care what you want, they just go for the money and buy devices from them, I asked them to fix my laptop that was under their coverage, they told me i'll have to wait between 7-8 weeks to get it plus i got to pay shipping for 3rd party. They didn't care if i was a student or not. i contact my laptop company and they fix it and send it back to me in all 5 days, i didn't had to pay for shipping or for it to get it fixed. PLEASE DON'T DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE IF YOU WANT TO BUY ANY DEVICE, GO STRAIGHT FOR THE COMPANY. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I'LL DEAL WITH THEM. respect your customer, whoever see this message be aware, any supervisor reading this, deal with this people already, no thank you.

Nearly three months ago I sent my laptop out to be repaired with Geek Squad since I bought the computer at Best Buy. I get the initial email about approving repairs fairly timely. However, after numerous attempts I am unable to reach anyone at the number provided on the email. There are outrageous wait times and I put myself on several call back lists to never receive a call back. Then I get an email that the laptop is ready for pickup in the store. GREAT! I think. But when I get to the store, I find it unrepaired and simply sent back because I “never approved repairs”. Being a full time student this was very frustrating. So I sent it back out AGAIN. I again get the approval to repair fairly quickly and call the store this time to approve. Over 2 months pass without being able to get any solid answers from anyone as to what’s going on. Finally I Force the issue and get the first solid answer. I was told the computer was repaired and would be send back out to me soon. Several days later, still no update. Call again.... will be mailed soon... several more days and I finally get the email that it’s back at the store. Only when I get there it’s with a note that ITS STILL NOT FIXED. Nearly three months and talking to several people and nobody could tell me what was going on? Clearly nobody there knows what’s going on. That’s okay! I’ll take my computer and send it direct to HP to be fixed. In the mean time I was happy to go ANYWHERE else to buy a computer. In the future, any repairs that I need done will be done so locally. The benefit of Geek Squad is the affordability and efficiency that comes with a large company. I’ll put my money elsewhere. This place has become a joke.

The girl behind the counter is very nice and understanding. But I had to wait an hour to be told they won't replace my hard drive with an SSD because of the computer case. I bought the thing from this exact store. And before that it was going to be $200 and take three days. Before taking fifteen minutes to try and figure out how to open the case in front of me. Now I'm waiting for them to put my PC back together after determining they wouldn't service it. As I was walking out I noticed the sound of a loose piece inside the case so I brought it back to them and they tried to claim it had been like that already.
