Stopped in to buy a laptop after choosing one that would work for me they only had the floor model, I was fine with that. Was told it would be about 20 minutes, so I left and stopped back in about 30 minutes. Technician said there was an update needed that shouldn’t take long. Took about an hour more. I was kind of surprised that there had to be so many updates needed since it was a floor model you would think it would have been current. If you use your computer with remote access and purchase the antivirus there isn’t anyway to manage it, you have to call to have changes made. For example I was unable to use remote access without calling. I’m not sure I would have purchased the antivirus knowing that Shrock was the administrator of my account.

Just had a short session with PARKER as my '22 Christmas special edition laptop I purchased from them had an annoying little "Your Secure Updater License has EXPIRED message that kept coming on the screen every time I turned on my computer even though I had renewed my subscription. PARKER was able to remote in and fix the issue "toot sweet"! Once again the customer service OUTSTANDING AND THE #1 REASON WHY I CHOSE TO PURCHASE MY LAPTOP @ SCHROCK INNOVATIONS!!

This place is a scam! First they act like a modular PC is a upgrade when any desktop PC is modular. They charge way to much for Thier computers. Thier "holiday special" laptop is a waste of money you only get a rtx 3050 in a 1700 dollar laptop that is a huge scam also on Thier holiday special desktop they charge +300 dollars for a windows 11 pro key! You can easily get windows 11 pro just off of Microsoft for 200 bucks. To summarize it they use older cheap parts in Thier biggest computers and charge way to much. You are better off going to best buy than getting something from these scammers Edit: in order to reply to shrock. First of all most gaming laptops these days have upgradable memory and storage. Second of all a gaming laptop has a dedicated GPU. I can get a gaming laptop with 32 gigs a 4060 and a 14900HX WITH upgradable internals for 1500 bucks. You can get them cheaper than that but they don't have as much ram. Also every laptop comes with all these things expect maybe a graphics card but that's because those come in gaming laptops more often. You guys have no idea what your doing to because the rtx 3050 is perhaps the WORST rtx GPU you can get. You would be better of with a 2050 or EVEN a 1650 at the price of the 3050

I have been using Schrock Innovations for all computer related issues for several years after hearing Thor Schrock's radio program on WHO 1040 on Sunday afternoons. I bought a holiday special laptop in 2022, and just recently I bought a new Mini to replace my desktop computer. I have Sophos on both computers, my phone, and my iPad, based on Thor's recommendation. The staff at the Des Moines service center is helpful, pleasant, and extremely knowledgeable about computers. I highly recommend them to anyone in the greater Des Moines area!

Dropped off a family members laptop get a Microsoft pop-up off and get some sort of Spyware/Security downloaded on it. Computer is old and not worth much. They told me it would take about 2 hours and they would have it ready the next day. They left a message the next day stating that the battery had “imploded” and it was a fire safety hazard. I stopped in to get the laptop and was told I need a new $150 battery and it would take an hour of labor at $140/hr (seems outrageous). I heard about the incredible customer service on AM 1040 and thought I had found a “spot” to take any computer issues. Why would you download Spyware/Security for $150 on a laptop when it has this fire safety issue? Should have waited for the consumer to weigh options. Now I have a worthless fire hazard with $150 program on it. They don’t have to worry about seeing me at their store again.
