Phone Todd - Cell Phone & Computer Repair

Very, very rude and combative. USE PHONE SMART REPAIR ON VIRGINIA ST! I needed a simple phone to phone transfer due to a dead screen on my wife’s old phone. They would have to use a screen of theirs to initiate transfer from the old phone. $80 charge. I assumed there would be a charge, no problem. They then demanded I got extra cash, $115 cash only, for ‘collateral’ for the screen they’d have to use while the transfer was being done as they were worried I was going to “run out of the store with their screen”. I was leaving both phones in their possession for the transfer to happen, brand iPhone 16 & a used iPhone 13, and picking them back up when done. They said “No, we need the collateral, even if you’re not here during the process…..”. What happens if my cash was kept and the charge for the actual transfer? How do I know I’d get my money back that I put up for collateral? Poor business practice. Especially when both phones will remain in your possession. Do better.

iPhone screen replacement was about an hour. They did a good job and Service with a smile. Reason for three stars. They did not tell me that I had to have a permanent one on my settings because they are not using an Apple product to replace the screen. Nor did they give me the option to buy an apple screen. my phone does not recognize the screen and is constantly reminding me that I need to have my phone service by a qualified service provider. UPDATE to 4 stars. After a month the message to go to an apple service provider disappeared.

Had a new screen installed on my iPhone 16+ repair was over $300 phone worked excellent for 3 days and the touch screen just stopped working I took it back and the gentleman told me the screen was defective and would need a new one said my screen was scratched and voided the warranty it's not scratched I still have it said he would take $100 off the repair for the next screen they should put up a sign that says they don't honor any returns due to defective equipment they install:::: this is response to the bellow comment from phonetodd I still have the phone $1800 and it's just sit in it's box I say the hell with repairing something designed to only last 6 months I'll never repair a phone again I will spend less than what you charge for a new screen on a new phone I want to thank you very much for the lesson learned god bless

I wish I could give them 10 stars! Shyanne was amazing. I was about to lose 5 years of precious pictures, including pictures of my late mother, after my phone crashed. My cloud wasn't backed up (lesson learned) so they would have been gone. Shyanne worked absolute miracles for me & restored everything to my new phone. Thank you isn't enough!
