Edit: After posting the below review about a week or so ago, Tech Shield called me with the new battery. When they called, they also asked if I would take down the review. I don't mean any malice towards the people that run this store, just hope that they treat their future customers with more respect & update them with their progress. I didn't really appreciate being asked (more than once) to take down this review. Especially, when it seems that only after I made the review, progress finally started happening on my computer. After the holidays, I went in today and had my laptop finally repaired. It's working fine now and I am able to use it without having to have it plugged in 24/7 like before. I guess the one star is accurate. - - - If I could give negative stars, I would. First off, when you step inside, it looks nothing like the photos: the store is covered in half-started projects and computer pieces. After explaining I only needed a new battery, they charged me over 200$ to take out an old battery in my macbook & order a new one. I have been waiting for THREE MONTHS now for this “new part to come in” and it’s “backed up due to shipping”. Had I just made an appointment with the Apple Store I probably would have saved time and money. Now my computer is battery-less because Tech Shield took it out & I am now out of the money they charged me to fix it. I called about a refund & cancellation and they said to “call back tomorrow about refunds” only extending the problem further. Do not take your business here, they will weasel you over for your money!

It was definitely something ! It firstly started with Chromebook computer’s screen that needed to be changed. Of course, I was charged upfront, then it took them 8 weeks to change it after I had to go to the shop countless times and argue with the staff to get it done. Then, I wanted to give them a second chance with changing the battery of my iPhone, and the battery they put in it was even worst and it’s health was only %86. Then, I had to argue again to get a new one, and took them an extra 2 weeks to get it done and having me chasing them, until I was finally to get the job done. Not the experience I was expecting. Therefore if you go there, make sure you are extremely detailed about it and don’t leave room for error.

I never leave reviews, so going out of my way to write this proves my sincerity. I could not recommend this place enough. I have no idea what some of these bot reviews are talking about saying the service takes forever. My MacBook Pro died and could not charge. I am a filmmaker with a film due and was concerned I’d have to get a new computer. Chris, who I cannot praise enough, ran a free diagnostic and told me it’d need a new battery and important motherboard cleaning. He is smart and educated in the field. When I am getting a service like this I like to know all of the tech details. He explained the entire problem to me and answered all of my questions in layman terms. In the span of 3 days he ordered and installed a new battery, repaired my computer (mentioning he even basically used a microscope to get everything) and immediately gave me a call to have me pick it up. Fair prices, excellent people. You will do yourself a disservice to go to a shiny Apple Store instead of here. 5 STARS. Thanks Chris!

My Macbook Pro had a liquid spill on it and I went to this place on January 3rd this year. The guy there said he would diagnose the issue and let me know. He then called me next day and said the logic board needs to change and asked me to pay up $661.49. I did the same and then he had it for more than 7 months till now. I kept calling this person and/or swing by his shop almost every other day but he always used to say the logic board is replaced and the data transfer is still going on. Last week he finally said that it can't be repaired and I need a different laptop and quotes $1200 as the price of a used macbook pro. I then realized he was fooling me for all these months so asked him to refund my $661.49. But he started giving excuses again so now I have opened a dispute on my credit card to get my money back. I don't know how it's gonna work out but this place is a sham and the guy is a scammer. I don't believe these reviews below, they might be his friends writing for him.

Does anyone know these people? I gave them my laptop to repair AND paid for it but have not heard from them in months. I don't know if they're closed for good or what is going on but they stole my laptop. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
