computer doctor Boise

Larry from the Computer Doctor Boise was a life saver. My Lenovo hard drive fried, and I needed a laptop. He sold me an older professional model Dell that he had refurbished. It was really a good buy, and I am still using it two years later. He is always available if I have questions, and he is very good at explaining things in such a way that even people without a lot of computer knowledge can understand. I will always buy my computers from him going forward.

Larry checked my Lenovo Yoga when it stopped charging and diagnosed it as a broken motherboard. He was very responsive and up front about the options I had going forward and went out of his way to talk to other contacts about repair possibilities, replacements, etc. When I told him it was my primary means of studying he offered to lend me a laptop to study in the week leading up to my MCAT. He's a great guy and very honest. You probably won't find a better service for the same price.

Bought a laptop Larry had listed on craigslist. Went to look at it, he told and showed me the specs. He didn't try to hide anything about it. It was an older model business laptop with good for the time, good enough for me specs. The price was good, I even asked if it came with the charger because it seemed on the low side. If you know what you're looking for my experience was "what you see is what you get", kind of a rarity these days. If you don't know what you need I would feel comfortable taking his advice based on the interaction I had. I read some of the other reviews on here and the responses, though I'm not particularly impressed with the responses on some of them I can understand how a small businessman might respond in that way because of unreasonable/hostile/fake reviews. An unsatisfied customer is very likely to leave a bad review and a satisfied customers leave reviews something like 10% of the time. I guess if I had to pick some negatives: His location is kinda out there. Google maps pointed me to a weird spot by the house so I had to used my eyes to find the house ( I know this is Googles fault but blaming people for things they didn't do is all the rage these days.)

Larry was great, I phoned him with my problem and he basically said come on over. He fixed the problem and gave me a little computer knowledge while I waited, his service and consideration for my time was top notch. In the future I will only go to and refer to my friends the Computer Doctor. Thank you again Larry for the great service!

My laptop got infected with a dreadful virus, that all but shut it down. Larry was immediately responsive, recognized the virus and how it attacks computer files and the registry, explained technical issues in every day language and suggested corrective actions (installing free or low cost Malwarebytes) with no high pressure tactics. I also liked that he is professionally certified. He gave me cost estimates at every step, and alternatives such as to bring my computer to his place or pay $10 for him to retrieve it from my home. He completed his repairs within 48 hours and provided me a written invoice which included all actions taken and virus removal guarantee - all this at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend his professional services!
