Micro Center

I came here with a friend to get a pickup order. The area is a bit sketchy at night. The store was set up, easy to follow. It did take a while for someone to wait on us as they didn’t have enough staff. My friend got a refurbished SSD. When we got home, we found that somebody had corrupted the SSD. It was basically bricked so you couldn’t edit/add/delete anything. What was supposed to be 2TB was instead like 700MB of uneditable content. Microcenter accepts returns but I thought that they had a process of “refurbishing” before reselling and it seems somebody missed something here. The refurb was like $110 or something. They do accept returns but this location is not close to me so it’s a bit of a pain to have to drive back to return the junk SSD.

I typically don't write reviews but I want to shoutout the repair team! I was having an issue with my PC and they were very receptive. I brought it in on Saturday night and I had back by Sunday afternoon, fully fixed. They were able to fully detect the issue and fix it within three hours of starting troubleshooting. Shout out! Highly recommend if you are having an issue! :)

In contrast, seeking assistance from authorized substandard, vendors, and repair technicians may not yield the same level of expertise quality, and professionalism. you will thank me. Save your time and gas.

Here you will find a team of informed, knowledgeable, passionate individuals who will devote the resources necessary to make sure you get what you came for. The sales staff are friendly, and definitely have experience in their sector of the enthusiast PC market. Their approach is to never to sell you something, but to help you and inform you on what you're purchasing. The tech support and computer service is something that I was really impressed with. Compared to other businesses, micro center has a dedicated team, tools, and other resources to actually test your hardware properly as well as the inhouse knowledge to diagnose and resolve problems with operating systems. I had a problem with my either my motherboard or CPU and took it in to get diagnosed. I didn't know what to expect, but was immediately greeted and assisted. Not only did they have every tool to test it, but they correctly diagnosed the issue and even helped me pick out a new motherboard. I've worked in IT for 10 years, and even I was extremely impressed at this level of service.

Microcenter does many things very well that are increasingly rare. 1. They honor their warranties without a fuss. Most part manufacturers no longer really do this without making you jump through hoops for months. 2. They hire competent people and will do repairs in-house. If for some reason they are unable to source a part you need, they will do labor with parts sources by the customer. I do most maintenance and repairs myself, but I trusted their service department to repair a laptop that I didn't feel comfortable working in myself. They did a great job and I was not disappointed. 3. Their staff is typically knowledgeable enough to make good recommendations if you need guidance, and I've never felt like they were trying to fleece me. 4. They price things fairly.
