3-Star Review for Scott's Repair Shop Scott was very professional and polite throughout my experience, which I truly appreciated. However, I have to give an honest review based on my recent visit. I brought my custom-built PC to Scott because it wasn’t displaying from the graphics card. On the first visit, he diagnosed the issue as a power supply problem, which I replaced, only to find the problem still persisted. When I called him to follow up, he admitted that he hadn’t hooked the PC up to a display during his initial diagnosis to confirm the issue. This led to a second visit where he reassessed the problem and told me the graphics card was faulty. Based on his diagnosis, I replaced the graphics card, but unfortunately, the issue remained unresolved. Ultimately, another repair shop identified the actual issue—a simple BIOS update—and fixed it in under an hour. While I do appreciate that Scott didn’t charge me for the second visit, I feel the first trip was a waste of time and money due to the misdiagnosis. Scott’s professionalism and kindness stood out, but I think his expertise may not extend to diagnosing more complex issues on mid-to-high-end custom PCs. That being said, based on his many other positive reviews, it seems like he does a great job with more standard repairs. If your issue is straightforward, I believe you’ll have no trouble working with Scott. For more complex custom builds, you may want to seek out someone with specialized experience.

Scott was lightning fast at repairing my outdated laptop. He is friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about computers. I have had a laptop from years ago and installed something that made it inoperable. I lost all hope and let it sit tucked away. Called him about it and he sounded confident in knowing what he is doing. Confident that he can fix it for me. I dropped it off to him on a Friday evening and the very next day he had it fully up and running with no problems. It was like I had a brand new laptop! His price to fix my laptop was fair. If you want your computer, laptop,or tablet fixed the first time around he is the guy you can trust to get it done,and fast for a very reasonable price. Very professional and friendly. Really helped me out with my computer and received it back way sooner than I expected. Receipt was received digitally so I have it saved easily, text confirmations were used, and great communication for drop off/pick up time. Quick and easy to work with. Yes, business is at place of home, but with covid precautions these days, who isn’t working from home? He definitely knows his computers!
