Great place to bring your computer! The staff was incredibly understanding, due to my son being on the spectrum getting his computer back promptly was integral to our day flowing flawlessly. They got our new graphics card installed, cleaned up the internal compartments, and even updated the drivers with no additional charge! The computer was ready for pickup within 3 hours and looked brand new, very pleased with our experience and will be going there for any other computer needs

Horrible! I dropped off my Service Pro I told the gentleman what I think was the problem and he agreed. It only needed a new battery. I left it with him and told me that it would be a week. So, a week passed didn’t hear from him so I assumed he was busy and didn’t have time to put in a new battery. I stopped into his business after work and told him I was there to pick up the Service Pro and he came back to the front with my computer in pieces. I asked him what happened and he didn’t tell me anything. I asked him I thought he could fix it. He said he could but then he said again to me was it’s now broken and there’s nothing he can do about it so I brought it to another computer store and they told me what happened. Was he shorted out the motherboard And fried the whole computer. Said he won’t do a thing about horrible customer service do not recommend him at all.

My son’s desktop computer stopped turning on, and I brought it to PCW Computer on New Britain Ave. in West Hartford, CT. They said it was not working anymore and I asked them if they had a replacement computer for sale. He sold me one on August 25th, 2024 and said it was equivalent to the one that stopped working. As time passed, I noticed the computer was not able to play games that I was playing on my previous one. I brought it back and asked them why it was not working right, and they explained to me that I needed a graphics card to play the games I was describing. So there is the first issue, he told me he sold me an equivalent computer to my previous one, but it was not. After some discussion, I decided to purchase a graphics card, which was more than the original computer. On December 5th, 2024, I purchased a NVIDIA card for $446.67 with installation. I brought it home and it was working, but after a couple days, the computer stopped turning on, and I noticed that none of the lights were working on the inside of the computer. I unscrewed the wall and made sure all the connections were tight. All of a sudden, the computer turned on again. Time went on and I would have to continue to unscrew the wall and tighten connections in order to turn the computer on. Until it stopped turning on, which was January 19th, approximately 40 days later. I was not able to take it back to PCW until January 29th for them to look at it. I received a phone call on January 31st, and the owner said it was the motherboard and it needed to be replaced. I told him you sold this to me in August, and it has only been 5 months. He said some parts do not last long. I was furious and raised my voice in disbelief. I told him I wanted a refund for the entire computer, because it has been nothing but trouble since I purchased it. He said he would not do that. I told him it worked when I brought it in for the graphics card installation, and that they must have damaged the motherboard when they were installing the graphics card. Overall, my experience with this small business has been infuriating. Never have I felt like my money was well spent. The owner’s empathy to the issue of being sold a lame computer was non-existent. In summary, he sold me a computer that was not equivalent to my old one, recommended a graphics card that was worth more than the computer itself, and broke my motherboard while installing the graphics card and suggested I buy another motherboard. My recommendation to anyone who contemplates walking into this business would be to walk by and pretend it does not exist. You will save yourself from a stressful situation that walking through their door will inevitably lead to.

My daughter took her computer to be fixed here at PCW. The bottom was opened up and didn't hold the charge. After they told her it was ready to be picked up, she got a laptop with the bottom falling off and was charged full price. The owner said he had to open the pack to fix the issue, and he then decided to give it back falling apart. He told her if she wants, he could glue it back together instead of screwing it back together. What a service.
