I've bought six laptops from this Best Buy and I had to replace three of them because they were not working properly. I also bought Geek Squad protection and my experience has been awful. It's my most recent issue that's prompted me to warn others. The screen on my laptop broke and I took it in to get it fixed on 6/13/19. Two weeks later I pick it up and am told it's all better. When I take it home, the laptop does not turn on. I'm amazed that they didn't check themselves to see if it worked, but I guess that's too much to ask. I took it back and of course they had to ship it off again for repairs. It's now 7/10 and still no laptop, meaning it's been nearly a month now and my laptop has still not been fixed. In their defense, they've fixed some of my issues and the people behind the counter are usually very nice, but I've spent numerous hours of my life waiting on hold and in line to get stuff repaired and there has to be a better way. I'm going to cancel my Total Tech Support Membership and Protection Plans I bought, and buy laptops elsewhere in the future because I can't stand the frustration of working with them anymore.

Shipped out drive which was crucial to the running of my boyfriends business, then didn't send the proper paperwork. He got a call from their repair center asking us to contact Geek Squad to have the correct paperwork sent because they had been trying to reach the store and there was never an answer. We requested the drive be sent back immediately and will fight for our 49.95 back. Why should we, the customer, do their job and if they won't answer the phone for their repair center, do you think they will answer it fir a customer?

They do not seem to be well organized here. I bought a protection plan for my tablet, it got damaged and I needed a replacement. I went there and was told that in 14 days I could go there and either get a replacement or credit toward a new ipad. I was there promptly after 14 days and the manager Shanequa (I know it is not the exact spelling) told me that she was sorry but we were misinformed. She said that she would put in for an escalation and would call me on Monday with the progress, neither happened. I called geek squad and they called there and they informed me that the order was on hold because they did not have my serial number. That it has been on hold for almost a week because of this, and the manager at the store did not ask for this information while I was there and somehow did not see on her screen when she pulled up my information. Well, the geek quad customer service was more helpful but no one knows what or where my order status is anymore and it has been 18 days now. How you can run a business this way is really beyond me. I am not going to sign up for a protection plan here any longer or ever again. I think I will go on over to P.C. Richard's. Hopefully I will get this resolved sometime soon.

I highly recommend purchasing the geek squad protection for devices. My experience was phenomenal, my daughter dropped her cellphone and broke the screen, they took back the broken device and gave me a gift card for the purchase price right at the store! Very friendly and helpful staff!

I set up a service online with a description of the problem my laptop was having. Brought the laptop to BestBuy, spoke to the person behind the counter at the Geek Squad. He looked at the laptop, asked me the problem (not sure why, I sent the description online). He asked me the age of the laptop, started it up, saw the problem, walked into the back room, came out and told me the laptop was too old and they couldn't do anything about it. Hmm, so Geek Squad will only work on "new laptops". If yours is old (5yrs) then Geek Squads advice, "We can't fix it, so buy a new one. Oh, I took my laptop home, took it apart, fixed what was wrong and put it back together....just you tube your problem and its solved!
