I have been a loyal customer of Office Depot since 2002, even though I first started using it for large orders for my Los Angeles firm back in about 1988. My local Office Depot in Greensboro, North Carolina was my first corporate sponsor for my Starting Your Business seminars, and the relationship became more personal, and not just handled by my staff. Over the years, I always preferred Office Depot over Staples because of the "intangible, personal element," but that began to die with the closure of more brick-and-mortar stores, and the move to more online business. I moved back to Southern California about 3 years ago and landed in Temecula. This particular property on Winchester in Temecula, although still stripped of the old school, traditional relationships, caught my attention through Heather, and then Marquis. On the last two occasions, Jeremy engaged me in some personal conversation and reminded me of the way it used to be. In this day of commodity sales, it is nice to have a human connection and a hint of customer service in a big box, impersonal store. I really appreciated the conversations with Jeremy and feel more inclined to return, and not just because the store is near me.

Bought printer ink in store, then looked on line and the same cartridge is 20% cheaper! Had to go through the hassle of returning the cartridge and getting an adjustment on the price. Extremely weak and duplicitous. They would happily have kept the difference had I not noticed and acted. While we're at it, their printer toner cartridge return to earn credit is bogus. You can only get credit if you've spent $10. Return 10 cartridges and get $20 credit, but no more than that if you have more. You know they are refurbing these and making big money off the sale. Oh, and you have to use the credit within the calendar month of the return date. Weak and greedy on top of it.

They really should have secret shoppers go through here to see how bad the experience is. The employees ignore you while you’re waiting for help (no one else in line) while having personal conversations and in my case signing up for gym memberships while I wait. I remember now why I prefer to buy all my office supplies online. Horrible customer experience.

The professionalism displayed by Nicky, the employee who was working at the Business Center (printing, copying, laminating) on Monday, May 20, 2024, made my experience top-notch at this Office Depot store. Had it not been for Nicky’s expeditiously multi-tasking, with patience and understanding, I would have left and gone to Staples for my business. The store seemed short staffed and Nicky was tasked with too many things although she handled it really well. I recommend Office Depot for their services based on their employees who are obviously working very hard to provide quality customer service.

The store was very clean and organized! The displays were well placed and organized and showed the features and functions allowing the ability to discover if the desk was exactly what I was looking for. Jim was our sales person and made sure we were 100% happy and he provided incredible customer service, friendliness and professionalism.
