First time building a computer. It didn’t turn on. I took it in, was $89 just for it to get evaluated. It took 3 WEEKS just for a call telling me it would cost $600, and another few days. Just for them to swap out one of the components for another, and a few cable management adjustments. It’s been 3 or so months, and turns out I didn’t use the proper CPU cooler. Reckon they should’ve caught that. Know I have to buy a replacement, and take the thing back apart again. There’s a big red dot on my motherboard warning about the CPU, and the top coolers lights don’t even work.

I brought my gaming laptop in due to a boot error. OS was completely corrupted. The technician, Darien was able to fix it. He put on new thermal paste, dusted out the laptop, backed up and restored my data, and reinstalled a clean copy of windows. He also sold me a 1TB Samsung T7 External SSD. Absolutely fantastic service all-around. I highly recommend these guys - they're friendly, professional, knowledgable and experienced. If you need your computer tuned-up or fixed, this is the place to go. Thank you guys so much!!!

My 2020 MacBook Pro needed a screen replacement due to some minor damage. I took it in and they managed to complete the replacement within two days, which was great. Would’ve been one if there wasn’t a day off in between. I was assured it was a screen for a Mac and not an off brand which would’ve caused a decrease in brightness, so that made me lean with this company more so. Additionally, after displaying the problem, it was a quick solution and not the runaround of options it could be which I appreciated. Overall, the service was 499$. The quality and screen seem good, and my computer seems to be in full functioning order. Pricier than I would’ve liked to pay but given that the screen is from Mac and the location of the company, I think it is reasonable. Upon checkout, I was given the laptop after paying and told I have 6 months to return in case anything happens. Personally, I would’ve preferred the front desk to open the laptop, turn it on and show me that everything in working order. It’s small, but just room for better customer service in my opinion, especially after paying 499$. I would’ve been interested in seeing the screen that was damaged as well and offered to keep it or trash it. Most likely would’ve kept it.

DC Computers in Hillcrest is the best computer store in San Diego. I honestly like it better than the Apple Store. They have MacBooks, MacBook Pros, iMacs, MacBook Airs, Mac Pros, Mac Minis + PCs for Sale, like IBM ThinkPads and Lenovo laptops. I got a MacBook Pro from them for my personal computer and they upgraded the RAM and the SSD Hard Drive. For my business, DC provided me with a powerful 27 inch iMac, and even replaced a cracked screen on a laptop for me and saved the data. Plus, they have some of the best deals on iPhones & iPads in town. They are so cool and understanding, and their customer service is terrific. Thank you DC Computers!
