I am an exiled from the Palisades Fire. My IT person told me that Cry Wolf was the best hard drive repair place in San Diego and that is where we are exiled right now. My backup drive is having an issue powering up and I called them for help. The guy who answered the phone was the SINGLE MOST CALLAS human being that I have spoken to since 1/7. I told him that we had some issues with trying to back up from Backblaze and that they SUCK. (They do, and I will move to another backup system ASAP). I asked him for help with trying to power my 8TB Western Digital Drive up and he purposefully hung up on me. There is no need to "Cry Wolf" just start crying because these IT people have zero empathy and worse yet, zero willingness to help. 1-star review well earned guys.

Wow! What a gem this place is. My laptop stopped taking a charge and had to make an appointment to the dreaded mac store/genius bar. Not that it's horrible...just too crowded, in the mall etc. So when this place was served up as an alternative when I was making my appointment I decided to give it a try. I ended up having to cancel the appointment but when I called they said just come in when I had a chance. So, I went in 20 minutes before they were closing (not a cool thing to do I know) and they could not have been nicer. I apologized for coming in so late and they wouldn't hear of it. The two guys up front were really nice and even though it was the end of the day for them were friendly, chatty and taught me some things about my mac. The guy in the back fixed the computer in less than thirty minutes and the cost was super reasonable. My computer is pretty old so no way it's still covered under apple care. BONUS - They have the cutest kitten in the world you can play with while you wait. I am so happy I found this place and hope everyone gives them a try and supports local businesses over apple. Second BONUS - you park right in front of their store and walk right in. They have a huge parking lot and super easy to get to. Right off of Clairemont Mesa and the 52.

The customer service was incredible. I genuinely appreciate the care they took in explaining everything to me. They were transparent, helpful, and I just overall had a great experience and will definitely be back if I need them in the future!

Needed minor service in a hurry, they were available faster than a genius bar. Friendly, knowledgeable, and easy-to-get-to location. Fast turnaround as well, with good coaching on how to avert repeat of the problem.

IF YOU WANT THE JOB DONE AND DONE WELL, TAKE IT TO CRYWOLF!!! My Macbook Air was COMPLETELY dead. Even Apple wasn't able to restore or revive my computer and was pricing my repair at 500$. I thought my data and computer was a goner and as a college student, 500$ isn't something that I just had lying around. My dad recommended me to Crywolf after his iMac was told by Apple it would never work again but this company was able to fix it. So I decided to take my computer in and I am so happy I did. The employees at Crywolf are friendly and super helpful! They took my computer and within a weekend they were able to not only turn on my computer but allll of my data was still on it AND it only cost 199$. They not only cleaned my computer and revived it but also installed malware protection software. Im so incredibly thankful. They had phenomenal service and they are just all around great people! If Apple told you they couldnt fix it or they can but for a pretty penny, do yourself a favor and call Crywolf.
