Tempted to leave 2 stars because Nick is a nice guy but unfortunately doing business with CPR in Gilroy was a huge waste of time and energy. I brought in my iPhone 15 for a screen replacement, discussed the options, opted for one of the aftermarket screens. It was fixed quickly and for around half the cost of an Apple genuine screen. However it was not installed well. One of the corners was not sealed at all, meaning the screen would pop up out of the device casing. Additionally my phone battery started dying within a few hours. It seemed that the screen used maybe 3x or 4x of the electricity of the Apple screen. I would have to charge my phone multiple times a day. I called them back a week later to explain this and they said to bring it back in the following week when the have the part. Next morning, the screen was just black and not working at all, even though it was still responding but completely black. It took all day and multiple calls back and forth for Nick to get approval from his manager to give me a refund. Finally when the refund was given, Nick said his manager only approved a refund for the part which was “defective”, not the labor or the screen protector (additional $30). Although it’s not a huge cost, it really showed where the business priority is with customer experience. I found other reviews here that mention defective iPhone screens. They simply should not be selling screen parts with frequent issues. I got the screen replaced at Apple, everything back to working perfectly. Apple said it was installed very poorly, with no seal (which is why it was popping up) and only 3 of the 6 screws for keeping the screen and connectors in place were present, which is maybe why it went black randomly after a week and a half of being installed. Either way, I don’t trust them at all and the least they could have done is give me a full refund. Wasted hours of my time. Next time I’m going straight to Apple.

Recommend by an ATT employee and my issue was dealt with for free. My iPhone wouldn’t charge. Nick spent a few minutes cleaning my charging port. When he said “that’s free,” I felt the need to at least buy a new IPhone case. My Apple case was disintegrating. This is a one guy shop and Nick is the one honest guy that’s working and worth waiting for.

I had insurance through CPR. Once I called the company and put the claim in I brought my phone here and everything was repaired within 2 hours. My phone works better than it did before the repair, great service.

Several weeks ago I called to have my iphone 15 pro screen fixed. Nick said that he would have to order one and since I was calling on a Friday it would be about 4 to 5 days. I gave him my $10 deposit over the phone and I got a call from him on the 5th day. I ran down that afternoon to get it fixed and left for 30 minutes. When I came back he said he had bad news, the display he ordered was not good and because he took my display off it my phone was not going to work since the display is dark . It was 4:00 pm and I was in a panic. I was leaving the next morning for a trip and needed the information on my phone to get on the plane and to call for my ride. With my pressure Nick made a call to see what he could do and the best he could do was to get a new display in two days later. He offered no other solutions. I asked for my phone and deposit back and drove to San Jose. When I found a place that did have a iphone 15 pro display they informed me that something happened to the mother board when the display was previously removed and the phone was not charging. The cost of my display being fixed was now double the price of the screen and would take several days to fix. The new company offered me a loaner phone while they fixed my phone. When ordering, CPR cell phone should always have more than 1 part available for the customer to prevent this situation from happening. CPR should also be more concerned for the customer in helping to solve problems. I am disappointed that my motherboard was damaged while in the hands of CPR. I learned my lesson, contact Apple first and find out who is an authorized Repair shop. This was a very stressful event and I would not recommend doing business with CPR Cell Phone Repair.

I've seen this Gilroy business for 2+ years now and EVERY TIME I'm in and out of Nob Hill and walk by this place it's closed. Doesn't matter if it's the morning, after noon, weekday or weekend I have never seen one person in this store. Recently over vacay my phone was damaged. I went online, chose an appointment date and was ready to take my phone in. I never got an email confirmation regarding my appointment. I called the place the next day around 11am, no answer, but a message says to text the number. I sent the text asking to confirm my appointment later that day. NEVER GOT A TEXT BACK. This store must be front for money laundering. I called jbfixit down the street, he answered and told me to come in later that day.
