BAD EXPERIENCE WITH MARK IT DEPARTMENT CHULA VISTA I had a worse experience with him when buying a laptop. I was asking him regarding the laptop I bought and he said he doesn't know what kind of gaming laptop it is. what even worst is HE DROPPED THE LAPTOP I BOUGHT AND He SMIRKED WHILE LOOKING AT ME. I told him really? and he said sorry in a sarcastic way AND SMILED . He said just returned if it is broken. like, does the company train him with code of ethics? first of all, it is not cheap to buy a laptop. I hope he understands how hard I work just to buy the laptop. second, he is an IT but doesn't know basic knowledge about the laptop I bought? PLEASE GIVE HIM A PLAN OF CORRECTION REGARDING HIS WORK ETHICS

Beware ordering any of their products online for in-store purchases don't believe the ETA for pick up. They don't care, they already have your money. Lesson learned.

The workers seemed friendly and professional. I came in to repair my laptop with a broken LCD display and was told that my device has to be sent to their service center. I had to back up sensitive data and to remove my device from the Find My feature so I did that and everything else they told me to do. I was told that I would only pay a $99 service fee for the repair since I have my Apple Care+ protection which I didn’t mind paying, but they didn’t tell me that I would have to pay the service center instead of paying at their geek squad location. Apparently received a missed call from the service center during the holidays with family but they left a voicemail about making the payment and was told to call back. The payment did not seem urgent according to the voicemail so I figured I would be able to come into the store where I dropped off my laptop to finalize the service fee once I got back into town. Long story short, my laptop was sent back to the Geek Squad never repaired due to not immediately paying the service fee. I feel like there was a failure to communicate the urgency of paying the service fee to the service center to finalize repairs. When I went back to Geek Squad to pick up my MacBook, even one of their workers told me that I’d be better off just going through Apple. SMH, a big waste of time.

For the most part, the service is excellent. Geek Squad has many new people learning, so it is essential to know what you're getting yourself into when getting your item(s) serviced. I did have one major complaint over the many years of excellent service. My laptop memory was not backed up and lost. I did not receive helpful service but met with a rude and condescending attitude from both Geek Squad and Best Buy. So, make sure to back up your files because no one will care or even try to help you.

So I bought a computer and I was having trouble connecting it to the internet at all even through Ethernet cords. I went and they were super friendly and fixed my computer no problem! As I got home I open the computer and I’m locked out of my computer. So I head back and was helped by Blake, who was amazing by the way, he got my computer running smoothly and gave me some great tips on my new device. I definitely recommend his service next time you stop by.
