Business Overview
Geek Squad is a location in-store service center that may offer basic computer repair services, but customer experiences with both the in-store and remote support side were less than satisfactory. The reviews indicate the business may offer services, such as they provided to the customer, but there is a chance the technicians are unqualified. This business does not offer services for home appliances and is tied to Best Buy location. I would be more likely to recommend going to the Geek Squad location and not taking your device to Best Buy.

The worst experience ever. I spent over $600 on repairs for my stove, but the parts were replaced and never functioned correctly. A technician visited twice and identified another component as the source of the issue. However, he was unable to locate the missing parts, and my stove remains non-functional. Despite my request for reimbursement or at least some credit, Geek Squad has refused. This experience has proven to be a waste of money, as purchasing a warranty from Best Buy did not provide any protection. Incidentally, the unprofessional technician left the stove in the middle of the kitchen. I needed to put it back myself. Now, I am afraid my stove catches fire!!. This incident ranks as the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered.

My laptop had an issue where the battery would discharge overnight, so I went to Geek squad and they sent in my like new laptop in for repair due to a bad battery. When I got the laptop back yesterday it was very dirty and had a lot of dust, smudges, marks and even scratches underneath the laptop that was not there before. I asked to talk to the manager that was on duty and he said that there was nothing that he could do about and gave me the corporate number for Best Buy. I also needed my upgraded RAM and SSDs put back and they told me that I could do it myself since they didn't want to do it, so they gave me a screwdriver and I had to do it myself on their geek squad table. When I opened up the laptop, I noticed that the RAM shield was gone. I mentioned that to the geek squad agent and was told it's not needed. I then came home and googled it and it said that it was needed to protect the RAM modules from any external damage. Both the geek squad service center and the in-store geek squad were very unprofessional! NOT RECOMMENDED!

They did not help us with two calls and so we called apple support and they fixed the issue and our new apple computer works now. I wish I had never signed up for the Geek Squad. Wasted $179. And for what? All they wanted was for us to drive down to Burbank a third time to let them figure out a problem apple support fixed over the phone within 30 min it was open and up and running! Makes me mad.

Geek squad was amazing. At the Best buy in Burbank, the team was fast and efficient. They didn't waste any time. They were more than accommodating even gave me a new bottle of water while I waited. I give this a 5 out of five

The entire Geek Squad staff provided exemplary service beginning with the scheduling of the initial appointment, diagnostic to identify the cause of the computer problem. the theoretical knowledge and practical skill of the technician who effected the repairs and the customer associate who exhibited the utmost in professional concern in overseeing the entire process from start to finish. I would without reservation recommend the Geek Squad team at Best Buy Empire Center Burbank and their home office 24/7 support team to anyone in need of service for their computer and guidance in technical matters related to this.
